As some you know I'm a major video game player. But in the last years Ive been playing less n less due to me feeling extremly ill 2 hours in to playing.

FPS games via a few I can play 5 mins of an then thats its I feel as sick as hell. I was told it was called Simulation sickness, where by the image moves but the brains telling the body your not, like motion sickness.

But I now get this even playing gears of war or even Zelda.....Zelda! I ****in ask you!

Is there any remady for this? I've tryed eatting ginger to stop sickness to which I felt worse!! lol

of course it's a real thing. it's kinetosis, you have conflicting messages being sent to the central nervous system.

ginger opens the pyloric valve in your stomach and is supposed to allow the contents of your stomach into your small intestine hence no vomiting

you could try taking some otc motion sickness pills or try and find some lcd shutter glasses. have also heard of people taking anti-histamines

can you get this from just playing too much or is it something you just have?

Its depends. FPS games are a defo yes no mater how short I play!
BUT I can play Resistance & Killzone 2 for hours no problems!

I do wear glasses when on the PC / Games comsoles but even wit hthem checked theres no change in my eyes.

I did come up with an idea that my glasses are making the HD picture TOO sharp for my eyes an hence the feeling ill.

I know if I play Doom 3 on my PC - I can play that for ages an feel fine an thats a 19" widscreen monitor - my HD TVs 27" widscreen

I think I had this a few weeks back when playing Resident Evil 5, I was fighting a boss then all of a sudden my eyes were all over the place and I felt really weird.

fps games are starting to bore me now anyway, they all seem to be the same. but i've played fallout 3 for ridiculous amounts of time and i don't feel the best after that but if i sit down and do anything for 10 hours straight i'll feel like shit. was just wondering if i could get this from playing too much or is it just something you have or don't have

Do you play with the lights off or dim? Make sure the room has good lighting.
