I've also wondered, do Re-Con & Squad-E have any mixing skills live? Like, you listen to more underground type albums, and the mixing between tracks lasts much longer, or more played with than on the AATW albums. Does the mainstream audience dislike hearing 2 songs played together?

I think it also depends on the way the songs are made... The latest, more mainstream stuff is getting less and less progressive I find... At least when it comes to the intros/outros. As a build-up, now you get 64 beats of kick, then the bass comes in for another 64 beats of build up and then it's already the breakdown... Same goes for the outros. I personally wish they gave the djs more material to play with in the intros and outros... The mixing style is affected, and I guess even the producers themselves can't help it. It makes for clean, short transitions and easy fast-mixes, but doesn't leave much space for cuts and effects.

From my experience @ HTID In The Sun 2007, I thought all the top tier dj's showcased clean and efficient mixing. Some had more exciting and interesting styles than other, but I couldn't remember exactly who now, since it's been a while. I certainly remember being especially impressed by Gammer.

Both perfectly decent live, and definitely a bit more adventurous - especially ReCon who i think is pretty damn good. But there is a definite difference for me between live sets and album mixes.

Personally, i'm not bothered about super long elaborate mixes on albums - just want to hear as much of the tune as possible. While i do enjoy hearing 25-30 songs crammed into a CD you don't get time to enjoy the tracks. When you buy an album, you're essentially buying the tracks in a mixed form. When you go and see a DJ live, you just want to hear what they've got up their sleeve!

Personally I prefer having a lot of tracks in a mix. I feel that it keeps the energy of the mix high. But I also understand that sometimes the tracks need to be longer. I loved Brisk & ham's mix on Hardcore Euphoria but there were some tracks (Heaven 7 - Kontact DJ) that i feel should have been longer.

Its odd that this compilations seems to have a positive response. What has happened to all the Raverbaby haters? Have they got tired of saying how bad things are? Or is HTID2 really that good?

After listening to the whole album I can now safely say this is a disgrace to hardcore in my opinion.

CD 1 is terrible, poor tunes and poor mixing. CD 2 is terrible, poor tunes and poor mixing. CD 3 has 1 good tune in my opinion which is Dirty Box.

1 good tune out of 47 is not a good strike rate really is it? I really would advise against buying this shite, it's never going to be played again. I'm embarrassed to own it.

How many more Phatt Bass remix's do we need? None of them compare to the original, another On the Move remix, woohoo! erm...no, again nothing compares to the original. Another poor attempt at a Lucid remix....I fear I'm going round in circles. Pizzaman - **** off, just **** off. Rock the Party had promise until the vocal hit then it becomes an instant fail. Confusion Girl (Shame Shame Shame) - yeah, shame you where ever written. And that's not even half of what I think about this bollocks. It's worse than Bonkers (18).
