thought about getting one for the master bedroom.

the ps3 slim runs at about half the power of the original, it has a mate finish on it so it doesn't show dust as much, & they put buttons on it (blah). it also wobbles if you try to stand it up so you have to buy a stand.

you may think the first one looked like crap but atleast mine is backwards compatable =P

Actually it runs lower then half of the original (Meaning 50%+), and runs at half the power it does in BluRay then it did in the original. I had the article, but the bookmark didn't save. I'll have to scavenge for it.

The finish really just looks like CHEAP plastic. I'd rather deal with seeing dust and fingerprints then that...shitty looking plastic. And the buttons piss me off. They stand out against the cheap plastic even more, and just don't look very...the touch buttons just look better, and match at least.

They also updated the online stuff, and when I updated my PS3 yesterday it changed my background to the one with the update. All sparkly and shit, and to reapply my theme. And the new grey behind all the names of your friends looks like crap, imo. When I have to bring it up to message someone the grey blocks out a lot of the screen. Sucky for when trying to do it online in a FPS.

And, yes. Original 60gb ftw.

I mainly like it because you don't have to use the crappy ps3 browser, you can use firefox. can view wmv & quicktime files.

it basically makes the ps3 a computer for my tv

that is a lot of on it's, made me think if luniz - i got 5 on it =P

Do you get any of the normal computer problems on the PS3?

I like the idea of using Firefox and watching WMV and Quicktime though.

And lol @ last part.
