it seems a lot of people here hate comercial hardcore personally i dont mind it i was just wondering is theres anyone here who likes comercial hardcore? and if they do why?

I like it. I think variety is important though. I like to hear the commercial mixed with the non-commercial and a variety of sounds in a set. I just get bored after an hour plus of the same sounds.

I dont like it normally but (i expect a little terrorisation on this) i really liked Re-Cons disc on HTID 2.....Squad-E disc was shockingly bad but the ReCon disc wasnt half bad, i have to skip through the majority of tracks but there is some ok stuff on there. So if thats commercial then i spose i do like some of it.....And as much as i slag and moan about (Current) Darren Styles he is a damn good producer just not to my taste, but that wont stop me singing "Save me" at the top of my voice at a rave. But i have to draw the line at Basshunter & Tinchy Stryder Remixes.

Commercial hardcore is moulded to suit most possible people, whilst maintaining its hardcore 'status'... thats what i dont like, since it lacks variety or innovation because producers stay within this 'comfort zone' where they know people would like the tunes... they dont take risks because they play the game for the money side of things...

i like it, but i do agree that having a a whole album of it really does make you sick of it. which is why to me the last CXH album sounded like a flatline to me. but i would definitely never say that the commercial hardcore is the highest quality out there, because it isn't. it is how some1 said earlier it's produced to reach and attract a wider audience.

i would also like to see commercial hardcore mixed in with underground hardcore on an album, but it seems that most djs prefer to stick to 1 or the other

I'm with you on the Basshunter bit but not the Tinchy Stryder bit, when I saw it in the tracklist for HTID 2 I thought it would be terrible but I actually really like it. Which is strange because I hate the original.

As a whole I like commercial hardcore. Sure some of it makes me cringe but it's the commercial stuff that got me into hardcore in the first place so maybe I just have a higher tolerance for it or something.
