so i was just on ebay looking at hardcore cds...and a few items down i see this

"***The best Happy Hardcore CD you will ever hear***"

and thats all the title says

the description:

Double Penetration aka How to Mix Badly (Hardcore Edition) Volume 1 & 2 is like nothing you will have ever heard before. Mixed using only a crossfader and a flanger and with no DJ talent whatsoever has given birth to a creative masterpiece. Featuring some of the greated hardcore tunes from the past and today, you will be amazed how addictive this cd will become. Each volume is unique is its own way and you will love each one for its own reasons. I dont wanna give anymore away then that but be rest assured that if you are looking for the best hardcore tunes mixed in the worst possible way, then this cd is for you. Two volumes each of around 20 minutes or so will give your afterparty or drive to work just the lift it will need.

So go on, its only £3.99....could be the greatest purchase of your life. ;0)

"So bad.....its good."

anyway - i lold and thought you guys might find that amusing also

Its not on, its exactly whats wrong with small music scenes like ours.

2500 hardcore songs, lets say they were sold as mp3s for £1 each
£2500
£2500 x 50 copies of that DVD =
£125,000

The hardcore scene has lost about £125,000 so that some kid can make £750.

Its not right

whats ****ed up - is that ebay dont seem to be doing it just because in the auctions the people are writing "these are 100% legal because they are in the public domain"

so yeah, if anybody sees auctions like this - report them - the more people who complain, the more will be done about it.

it pisses me off because that £750+ is somthing i could really do with at the moment - but because of a nasty honest streak i wont pull shit off like that.

Look on the bright side Craig, you're doing the right thing and nobody thinks that you're a thieving wanker.

i wouldnt be surprised (and i doubt anyone else would be) in the slightest if you were already doing it

and as for the dvd stuff - that would all depend on what quality the songs were at, and secondly - im unable to find any of said auctions on ebay now lol! but i would guess they are over more than one dvd - how many tracks you can fit on a dvd wasnt really the issue.

To be fair it definitely doesn't amount to 125000 quid lost.

Anybody buying 2500 random rips for 15quid wasn't going to buy that many tracks in the first place. In fact, I'd be surprised if they would buy more than say 10 each.

So 10*1.5= 15 quid

15 * 60 = 900 quid

I mean, that sucks but its kindof expected in 2009.
