Submissions for our next CD release are now open!
The CD is to be 2 discs and will be aimed for a February/March 2010 release date (although this really depends on the quality of tracks submitted), with 1 unmixed CD and 1 mixed CD. It will again be available from NSR, IMO, HardBeatStore and happyhardcore.com. The CD's title is yet to be confirmed although it will be 'Never Stop Raving 2' followed by something else like we did with Hardcore Explosion.
Full tracks should be sent to [email protected] and the email should include the artist name, full title of the track, whether it is signed to a label or not (and if it is....which label?) and which disc you are submitting if for consideration (the mixed disc, the unmixed disc, or either?)
Please do not send any tracks with non-cleared vocal samples in, (you know the kind, any lady gaga bootlegs etc will not be accepted) all tracks must be original or legal remixes.
We are accepting submissions from labels as well as artists and inclusion on the CD does not mean that the track is exclusive to NSR (if it makes our CD and then TNC or NEC coming asking to sign it from you then that is fine) NSR will only have the right to include the track on this 1 project, unless you would like it to be considered as an NSR track too for future release.
We are hoping from a lot of submissions and can guarantee that every submission will be listened to.

There is no set deadline for submissions.....They are open for a minimum of 1 month (1st December)
We probably need around 30 top notch tracks to make the project work across both discs, if by 1st December we have 30 immense tracks then submissions will close....If we still feel we need a few more tracks then they will stay open for a longer period until we have enough top tracks....but if you work off a 1st December deadline, then you wont go wrong.
In regards to artists copies.....that is the proceedure for projects such as HU that run 1000's of copies and therefore have a very low cost per unit.
With our last CD release artists did not get given a copy as it was just a simple short run unmixed CD.
Wether we are going to be able to give away free copies this time will depend on finances and how many copies we decide to manufacture.
We manufactured 100 units of volume 1....if we gave every artist a copy we would have lost 15-20 copies of that 100 straight away. For a CD that only runs 100 units its just not financially feasible to give away copies to everyone as it would mean you need to sell around 60-70% of the stock just to break even.
We plan to manufacture more than 100 this time but do not know the exact number and until we do a decision on artist copies cannot be made......we cannot make a decision on number of copies to run until we see how good the submissions we receive are.
I would say....submit your material, artist copies will be addressed when what is going on is set in concrete.

well one more question......
what type of genre is the cd going to be?
i.e. happy hardcore, hardcore, gabber, dubstep...ect
but i would guess that would be depending on the cd you want to be on, right?

Correct.
The unmixed CD will obviously have alot more flexibility as a DJ doesnt need to worry about mixing in different genres.
The mixed CD will be UK Hardcore and maybe some gabber at the end depending on what we recieve.
For the unmixed CD we will accept submissions of hardcore, happy hardcore, breaks, gabber, freeform. Basically sub-genres of hardcore

We have already had a number of submissions, and even given feedback on a few tracks for how people can improve them if they wish to re-submit updated versions :)
