if i were to, it would all depend on the friend..what they are already into, how stable their personality is..
i would, as i have in the past, play particular songs from specific places.
if you just hand them a cd they will just skip through the tracks hear the first 4 bars (the intro/DJ Friendly part) and just think...well, this is shit.
if i only had the choice of handing them a CD, i think that Bonkers 15 would be a good bet as its very good on the variety side of things

I introduce friends to hardcore, starting with stuff they recognize, for instance:
Lady Gaga - Just Dance (Kev Willow Remix)
Cascada - One More Night (SynthWulf Remix)
Then I would continue with slightly more commercial hardcore classics like:
Darren Styles - Skydivin'
Bang! - Shooting Star
Blast! - Til' the Day
Nakatomi - Children of the Night
If they're not already into any kind of dance music, I start with older Prodigy stuff like:
Prodigy - No Good (Start the Dance)
Prodigy - Out of Space

Bonkers 13 or Hardcore Underground 4.
I have a couple of friends who have been getting more and more into hardcore, especially since I've been playing the NG Podcasts on CD in my car and they have been forced to listen to it. Letting them hear tracks like 'Mood Music' from HU4 seems to have sealed the deal. Is there a single person out there who can't appreciate tracks like that?

I got a few of my friends into Hardcore recently but I did it through Pendulum. The drums seemed more familiar to them then the constant kick and bass I think. Then they got an appreciation for good build ups and I slapped some Hardcore in their faces.
*No sexual innuendo intended...*

Well definitely Clubland, as they are the most accessible. Then I would let them check out HU and Bonkers.
In fact I did that and now there are 4 new hardcore producers in my area.
