There used to be so many around. Like - Alien Factory, Ultra Sonic, Ultimate Buzz, Casio Brothers, Dyewitness, Charley Lownoise and Mental Theo, Rythmic State, Critical Mass, Scooter. etc
Scooter seem to be the only ones still going strong. Although these days they play more NRG, Jump Style and Hard Trance. Saw a dvd of them live in Berlin and was amazing. They finished off with Hyper Hyper. Their style is still really good. Some is as hard as nails but still always uplifting. Be great to see more live Harder Dance music acts.

It's a pain in the ass bringing your studio with you.

Since people do everything on computers now that is no longer the case.

Nobody wants to watch someone stand behind a laptop pretending to do something, so every live act needs to bring some synths with them for "show". I'd feel like an ******* doing a live PA without some synths (and I can't say I've ever seen a "good" live PA without hardware synths).

nothing wrong with producing with software, it's just lame for a "live show"

Well don't say live Rave acts then. haha.

I've seen Quosh, Essential Platinum, DJ Fear (EP), Raver Baby, NEC do live PA's fairly recently. Hardcore ones still happen all the time too. ;)

I remember seeing a Scott Brown/Evolution one too but that was a few years ago now. May even have been as long as 5 years ago actually lol.

Always see loads of Oldskool Hardcore ones at Raindance etc too.

I know not many of these are people who regularly do live PA's but they're live PA's nonetheless. Most of the big Hardcore names who regularly done PA's back then where from Europe and Scotland anyway. Never seemed to be big down here.

Yeh you do still get them but nothing like the volume there used to be
there are probably still more oldskool ones around than new ones

I'm pretty sure that Alek Száhala still plays live with a laptop, synth and a turntable.

very true, most of them where from Europe and Scotland

infact i always wondered how most of England only seemed to like Happy Hardcore/Breakbeat etc
did Hardcore (Gabba as it was probably referred to in England) and Scottish Hardcore/Happy Hardcore
not get promoted well in England or was it that it just wasn`t well liked

Oh, and i never said Scottish Bouncy Techno because it wasn`t known as that at the time
for all the years i bought records 91/92 to 1998/99 not once did i ever hear it called Bouncy Techno lol
i don`t know when or why that term came about
