I bought Masif Hardcore 2008 from here:

It arrived today, but its not in a hard case, it was 3 glossy see through wallets, with paper artwork and tracklist shoved in eachone and stapled together....
Surely this is not the actual packaging? And it doesnt say on htfr that its not in the proper packaging......does this compilation not come in a hard case?

stores class this as a CD Triple Pack. Each copy should, as any other CD does, come with a box around the CD's.

Yeah I definitely dont have that backcover.....no real booklet, no licensing info for the tracks, just the discs in glossy wallets with artwork and tracklist shoved in.
The discs are also just white, with black writing on.....makes me wonder if they are right too.
I will be asking for a refund tomorrow I think.....Not really acceptable is it

Yeah sounds strange to me … but at the end it's what's on the CD's that counts, and although many didn't like that album, I enjoyed it :)
But yes, if I was you, I'd send it back, the tracks on it are probably not even in good quality.

its a burnt CD, if they refuse refund, I think they can be taken to court.

Yeah I know its about whats on the disc, but I havent got what I paid for really have I.
Ill ring them tomorrow because all returns will be refused without a RAN number, so Ill need them to issue me a RAN number before I can send it back, but by law they have to accept the return I think.

Google sale of goods act and email/send them it and quote the **** out of it... Also, get on bbc iplayer and watch dont get screwed on bbc 3...

HTFR are well know for doing dodgy copies of things. They've been raided for selling dodgy copies of vinyls they've cut themselves before.
"by law" the shouldn't be selling pirate copies. ;) I'm sure they wont despute the return unless they want to end up in some serious shit.

Here is what I got from the returns dept on the phone at HTFR:
CD's are non-returnable as they are a recording media.
Apparantly, they got these copys from AMATO who are now bankrupt and all their copies are now like this.
He said there was 2 versions....the one in the case and the one that I have received. The cased up one with booklet etc is £15, the one I got was £6.
I said its like they are pirate copies
He said, we dont really know anything more about it, AMATO sold us these and we are just selling them on, I dont know if they were promo copies or what, but this is all we have.
So I cant return them? I said
Afraid Not......he replied.
Thoughts? Advice?

Bollocks. Pretty sure HMV, Amazon etc. take back CD's. I'm sure they legally have to take then back.
Post a link to the product on the site. If it doesn't fit the description there (or match images etc) I'm pretty sure you have them under the Sale of goods act.
If they are indeed promo copies then they shouldn't be selling them anyway. That's against the law for starters. Sounds like they could be, most distributers pass out promos like this.
Sounds like HTF doing the dodgy anyway (as per usual). Don't ever shop there tbh, bunch of robbers.

I thought it was an ok cd mate. Kev energy & Sharkey mix is pretty good and I like the weaver one 2. You should get the refund tho. If they told you it was a copy or not its still illegal. If you dont like it ain't that even more reason to get the monies back?
