By Old Skool I mean 90s stuff. I have always been fond of the 90s tunes from the Uk dating from the early 90s onwards. The Dutch stuff though, I was told was even better and harder! I gave it a listen and now im hooked! I have to say the Dutch had some of the best tunes in the world during the 93-97 period! The Brits did make some great stuff but other than a few scots like Scott Brown, few ventured towards the grandness that the Dutch made!
Here are some comparisons:
vs
All versions of this seem popular. The Cixx version is my favorite!

It turned out recently that many people where shocked at the Seduction rip of this classic tune! Compare for yourselves!

There are many versions of this tune, the original was from 1994, with the Weirdo & Sim version on Pengo the following year (said tyo be one of the greatest tunes of all time) the UK version came out on Jumpin Pumpin in 1996. I found all of them, except the Helix & Teknodred remixs to be disappointing. The Ham mixes both sounded similar & I thought Marc Smith could have done better!

It is hard to compare any of these versions. The original is classic breakbeat, a huge tune from 1994 while the Dutch version from 1995 is very different, just uses the same vocals. The later remix from Sy & Unknown was a bit more of a let down but no where near as bad as the 2006 version from Styles & Brezze!

These two tunes sound very much the same and sample Madonna's Like a Prayer. The Vibes version came out in 1995, along with Eraserhead - Life Is A Mystery with a number of versions but no original. The Forze Dj team remix sounds similar to the Vibes & Wishdokta version, and was in existence in 1994 as it was on a compilation. There where German versions that also sampled Like a Prayer from 1994.

Kaos - Hold me now sounds similar to Highlander - Im sorry (Bass D & King Matthew Remix) but the original Highlander - Im sorry (wrongly credited to Bass D & King Matthew on Bonkers 1) is very differnt. Of course the original wasn't on Bonkers so didn't have the two guys (are they The Muppets or Bevis & Butthead) saying 'Boo, that was the worse thing I ever heard' at the beggining!

I liked the Breeze & Styles remix. :( I do like the original too... my point is that the B&S version is just a different take on it if you ask me.

Breeze and Styles version was typical 2000s. Just a clubland style mix, nothing over popular or over played I don't think. There are meant to be a few Rave Nations version of it, I have only heard the 'commercial' version & the infamous Forze Dj Team remix which is as popular than the original!

Normally i would have replied but you continuing to post video's in every single post you make is getting very very boring. Who actually plays the videos anyway because i know i don't. What would you do if Youtube didn't exist?
