Generally select 20 songs that describe your personality best. These tracks don't necessarily have to be favourites, but ones that decorate your past memories and make the old times so special. What tracks led you to the tracks you listen to today? Which ones define your path?
I'll take the lead, though not all of these are Hardcore, obviously.
1) Omni Trio - Earth Song = I love experimental music. Omni Trio blends beautiful synths with radical breaks offering the listener a unique feeling. Its music that you know no one else for miles would be listening to, and its nice.
2) Mistabishi - From Memory = A beautiful song from the Hospital corner. This track really takes you back with a sad calm style of D&B.
3) London Elektricity - South Eastern Dream = This song has a feeling of epicness. Again, D&B, Its one of those songs that stick with you. It decorates memories, and this one is the tune I associate with X-mas 2008.
4) Bop - A Song For My Dog = I can't pick a song I like the most from this new Russian artist... His styles of using abstract D&B loops with atmospheric sounds is amazing.
5) Gas - Microscopic = Wow. This song is sci-fi to a new level. The ambient track takes you into space where everything is on a larger scale. Panned synths make you as an individual feel insignificant and it helps realise how small we really are. Amazing track.
6) Underworld - Skyscraper.. I Love You = This is another ambient track I like simply due to I know no one else is probably listening to it. Its a world I can escape to if I dont like reality. It gets me through the tougher days..
7) Airbase - Genie = If there's a feel good song, this is it. This uplifting trance is big on a massive scale, and its not a track that is easily forgotten.
8) Sundance - Sundance ('98 Remix) = Both the original and remix are great, but the track reminds me of the days I'd collect every React/EResist CD going! Such a tune that really didnt get the credit it deserved.
9) Sharkey - Death By Stereo = Another Resist number. Sharkey utilised faster happy hardcore/trancecore styles of the time with trance. The end result is an early era freeform classic.
10) Ionosphere - Something For The Weekend = The Ionosphere lads never released this track, and few have heard it, but my god, its a stunner. A trancey old skool track with sounds and synths that merge perfectly.
11) Lumin8 - Rivers Flow In You = A proper hardcore anthem from AWF. Destined to be remembered for some time yet! Whilst he didnt write the track, its been transformed into hardcore with perfection, with sweeping guitars and strings. However, I'm unsure on the kick.
12) Gammer - N+ (Kev Energy Remix) = A track released yesterday with summarises my love for freeform and for playful happier hardcore tracks.
13) Synthwulf - Eternal Knot = This is one of the best Hardcore tracks I've eenjoyed for a while. The use of freeform styles with African tribal choir style singing is extrememly uplifting and motivational. I listened to this before a swimming race, and won my race.
14) DLS - Wired To The Moon = One I try to listen to as little as possible to preserve the sexy goodness of the track. Melody's in freeform dont get more amazing than this!
15) Transit - Counting the Hours = I like this track as I can relate to, and sing to. This hardcore track is a bit older from around 2004 or 2005, yet sounds as good and fresh as when i first heard it!
16) Feeder - Find The Colour = One of few rock tracks I can tolerate. This group, Feeder, have always been favourites of mine, and their music seems much more sophisticated than other similar styles.
17) Sharkey - Today's the Day = This became a regular on the way to the bus stop for most of the past 2 years.. I had listened to it 130 times to lighten up my day. It became a regular anthem. It has far more meaning than most other hardcore tracks.
18) London Elektricity - Just One Second (Apex Remix) = Beautiful Beautiful track. A track i've had on repeat whilst travelling through London at night. it just sends adrenaline sprinting through the arteries. Its soothing beats and amazing lyrics seem to stimulate your mind in a way thats not explainable.
19) High Contrast - Brief Encounter = Decorates more old memories from 2006 with old loves etc. I also heard this at Hospitality at Fabric and it was amazing. I've never been so enthralled with hearing a track at a party...
20) London Elektricity - The Great Drum 'n' Bass Swindle = Another decorative memory. Samples and whatnot just have a personal familiarity with me. Its a track I hold close to home. Another track I could mention is Pendulum - Insecurity.
Allot of my musical direction comes from D&B. Though I'd like to hear your musical backgrounds and meaningful tracks. You don't need to explain the choices, as I've done...

there is way too much music that is personal to me
though theres only one piece i cant listen to because it hurts to hear it, it was a piece of music that was shown to me just before i left America.

haha, Pascal :P
hummm.... songs that describe my personality?
lets try =)
The energy, fast-pace and silliness of Eurobeat:
Jungle Bill - Shake Me Up (Hi-NRG Attack, 1999) http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF1284612-02-01-01.mp3 The carelessness and easy-going of reggae: Bob Marley - One Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8onbDZmAwhE And because I don't think music should be taken too seriously: Leroy Anderson - The Typewriter (impersonated by Jerry Lewis) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7ySmnxy29Q 3 is enough for me, I already thought about these for long enough :P
