This question comes up all the time. There is nothing wrong with hardcore and the scene is not going down the pan.
Just dont listen to what you dont like....CXH and HTID albums aint my type of hardcore....so I dont buy them, I stick with HU and COH cause I know I will like the result. If you like Darren Styles but hate Darwin, then just listen to Styles, not Darwin and vice versa.
Its the same in any scene, you wont like every single producer/singer. Look at pop music....people have their favorite singers (Beyoncee for example, but might hate Rhianna) so you just dont listen to Rhianna or buy her music, you cant like every release in a scene.
Yes hardcore is different now, its evolved, if it was the same as it was in 1995 then the scene would be dead because it would all be the same and nothing new, music evolves every few years.
Maybe hardcore isnt crap, maybe you are growing out of it?
Not many people still like hardcore once they get to a certain age cause you grow out of it. All this 'Im hardcore til I die' is bollocks in the majority of people
