About 18,50 CAN$ an hour but I'm part-time and this is a student job...
That works out to 10,71GBP with the current exchange rate.

i'm on commission so depending if i meet my draw (that's minimum wage that is accumulated by the commission)
if i don't meet my draw, i just get paid minimum wage and the deficit of my sales rolls over to the next paycheck.
but since it's christmas, my checks are getting bigger and bigger i'm pretty sure i'll be averaging more than $15 and hour this week.

6pounds sounds so low? is that mc donalds or something
I was looking at gumtree a while back and most jobs seemed around 9 (factory atleast)

I got my job off gumtree & its with an agency! Factory work round here is £5.73 which is national minimum wage... Wages vary depending on what part of the country you're in - so round here its very low

exchange rate doesnt mean jack :P (unless you are getting paid in a different currency to the country you are in at that countrys av COL)
its alllll about COL
in the middle east a gallon of petrol costs something like 20c
does that mean relavtively speaking they are getting it for 20c? heeeeell no, avarage wage is somthing like $100 a year
so relatively speaking they are paying just as much
its alllll relative.

those middle east figures are in no way exact, and would be entirely subject to change - numbers given are a very rough estimate to illuminate a point.

yeah, Norway is expensive, so my 12,5£ isn't much ^^ if I have enough shifts I get by though, but it's been less and less since I started at university. My nightmare is having to cut back on the snus consumption :p
