Back up your data. Seriously. Whether it be online or to an external drive (external drive is better if you ask me; it's faster and you have more control), BACK UP YOUR DATA, and often too. Nobody's immune to hardware problems or PEBKAC!
Now why am I saying this? Because it friggin' saved my life just recently, that's what.

my computer has only ****ed up twice in the 5 years ive had it, an each time it was the recovery partition that saved me, not the 2 hours i spend every week backing shit up.
food for thought.

but you back up your data to the partition yeah......
isn't that the point?
it doesn't matter where you back up your file's as long as you do it.

No, backing up to my hard drive.
Recovery partition backs up automatically... at least it does for me... and i never notice when its happening. I've never had to use my back up hard drive, and its always the recovery partition that's saved me.

For a few, their life consists of being on the computer.
And that includes having a job to pay pills.

1 word :) PARTITIONS :)
if theres some shit on ma pc i just wipe the c drive and reinstall as everythings on the partitions anyway :) if the whole drive goes to shitters your usually able to get it back by slaving it (in the begin stage of total drive annihalation). just dont download weird shit that most like has a chance to fak things up :) if ya got those kinda problems you prolly didnt take care of ya pc well enough :P
