It seems as though no one has considered the possibility that, because she is deaf, she is shy and lacks confidence and
is embarrassed in situations, such as trying to buy something in a shop, where she'll run the gauntlet of people's insensitivity,
which is perfectly understandable.
This will make her appear vulnerable, which in itself can be attractive, and she will also be devoid of the usual girlie giggly crap, which is unattractive.
The fact that she happens to be pretty is only enhanced by her modesty, not her deafness.
....and, if you're not already bored, your offer to help was accepted, rather than rudely dismissed,
which made you feel better about yourself which, in turn,
attracted you to her even more.
I could be wrong.
....however, it doesn't mean that she can't be a total bitch to the people she's comfortable with.

Oh Pokemon Pearl xD Just read it over again ^^;;
I would have thought she would be going for Platinium instead.
EDIT: ANYWAY, I think that's a really sweet story! Sort of made me want to go "Aww"! I think the only reason you thought she was cuter is because she was embarassed and stuff and you helped her. I don't think it applies to all deaf people or all non-deaf people, just basically down to the circumstances, glad you made the most of them! Try and go there more regularly! You might be able to see her again and get a number/email or something. Or for extra points you could learn some sign language beforehand and also give her some kandi (if you're into making it and stuff)! ^__^

Some of that and the fact that the deafness made her more unique to me, witch i find more attractive to me
well im off the high...
I guess you could say it was just the way she spoke, everyone has something they find cute about the other sex that isnt to others. My one friend loves feet, i hate them. I think glasses are cute, he hates them. Braces are cute on some people, he hates them...
He loves hugs tits and hates small ones, i love small and big.....get me something to grab im good :b
So i guess its one of the things thats draws you to the person...
Im not sure, but i guess...

this.
adding to it: you helped a person who you percieved as somehow weaker than yourself, which automatically creates a psychological complex more in you, but also occasionlly in the other. it happens all the time.
if you sit down with someone (female works best) who has been through a real rough time and talk to them about it and through it, I will guarentee that you will walk away at least a bit attracted to them. whatever you do, dont hold eye contact or you will damn yourself.

I go to a school that is 85% single under 25 year old mothers that the father has left, im 1 of 4 guys in the class, and 1 of 15 males in the school, we have about 70 people...
I'm the one that all the girls talk to me about what has happened to them, so i talk to alot of girls that have been through a bad time. Its hard to look into their eyes and see how much they have been hurt, and the fact that most of them are so freaking cute and they want someone to talk to, its kinda good but bad....
