While trying to convert some MP3 files to my media player this morning, most of the files failed to convert. This is the error message i received:
Windows audio converter did not convert the source audio file. The file in the destination folder cannot be replaced, or there is not enough disk space to complete the operation.
How do i fix this problem? I have plenty of disk space left so it's not that.

The files are MPEG Layer 3 Audio Files. I need to move them from My Documents to my Media Player. I right click the file, go to convert audio format. That's when i receive that message.
Also files used to save in My Documents as WMA files. For some unknown reason that changed & they now save as MPEG Layer 3.
I've never had any trouble converting files to my Media Player like this in the last 2 years or so so something has gone wrong somewhere but i cannot figure out where.

Windows Security on? (not allowed write/read files from or to specifc folder)
And doesnt your media player support mp3s? if so, there's no need for convertions
You wanted to copy your music files from My Documents (which are WMA) to your Portable Media Player?

Try using Switch Sound File Converter
It can change that audio file for free into MP3, and it hasn't failed on me yet. It's what I have to do to turn audio into something I can use for other programs.

If nothing work, you could use "winamp" i think its better then wmp
It will convert the wma to mp3 when you transfer them to your mp3player
