i usually hate top 40 stuff but this fireflies track is somehow pretty darned nice to listen to :) obvs most people dissagree here.. theres no half naked under aged sluts in the videoclip =]

I like your remix more than the technikal one!
I don't like the technikal remix for a single reason. And that's going to be the answer to you Olly. The mainpart is crap imo. And the rest of the song ( the breakdown ) is just cut off the original track, so I wouldn't consider it as Technikal's work. So don't worry, technikal also doesn't have a proper acapella of the song, he just cut it out!!

I've nothing against the original track, but when someone mixes it into hardcore I'd expect a little more originality than his remix!

But that's Technikal you know.. "Everyday Technikal Remix" -> 30 BPM faster and BOOM it becomes a Technikore remix

id never heard of this track , so i went on youtube and listened to it ( the original )
and WOW what a horrible piece of music it is...... ( in my own opinion of course... i wouldn't want to upset acidfluxxbass now would i !! )

No tempo change was actually necassary :) The original was 180bpm... or 90bpm, I believe.
Anyway, I think that Technikore's remix was better than mine... His remix was well produced and clear.. That said, perhaps a bit of originality was lacking... His was produced very differently to mine. He remixed over the original (according to SPIT), I rebuilt it using an acapella (which was SHIIIT!!!) ;)
I hate the original track, but Technikore's remix does make it more tolerable. I hate mine at the moment. Whilst its a good idea, one little thing is annoying me and its ruining the track, but my PC is bust so i cant fix it! arghhh!

because the track doesn't suit hardcore! (and is a shit remix anyway) why go down the route of sampling songs because they happen to be number 1 (or popular) Ham's remix of Oldskool works because its a dance based track, not everyone will like it, but at least hes done a different (and his ideas) mix on a popular track, I'm just waiting for the teckinkore hardcore version of the climb!

No, you don't get it. Argh. You're talking about acapella, well produced stuff, etc.. but what is well produced? He only did the synth in the mainpart. Don't you see that the breakdown is simply CUT OFF from the original track? He didn't even made that.. He just took it out, see what I mean? That's why I said it's typical for him, the thing with the BPM was just another example of how lazy he is.
