Come take my hand and lead me to the land were dreams come true for me and you in a magical land song it reminds me of at the beginning with the binary voice.

It's whether the mainstream audience will like it or not that's the determining factor in how creative an artist will be.

Perfect description of the way any music scene works. Mainstream likeability will always be a factor in anything that is enjoyed by the public.

On a sidenote, it may not always be down to artists knowing that they've done it. I refer you to a Darren Styles remix of "When I Close My Eyes" by Dougal & Gammer (seen on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHX6NKhZgCo @ 2:16), and a remix I myself did some time ago. It was a cheeky bootleg of Ultrabeat - Pretty Green Eyes (seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueDozWb4Yyc @ 0:29). I didn't even realise I had made such a similar riff until ages afterwards. So maybe it's that simple? People can be a bit skeptical sometimes.

Yeah the riff that Hixxy used in his Field of Dreams remix is similar to the 1 he used in 2 Dream. Big deal.
