Pissing down with rain on a lightning-fast pitch. Heskey is not going to do well in these conditions. Rarely does well in any conditions, to be honest.

To be fair, you can flip that on it's head and say they've got there despite not being at their best, therefore they deserve it.
The team that plays the best stuff very rarely goes the distance. Argentina were playing some good stuff, yet got completely thrashed by Germany. Similarly, Chile were a very attractive team to watch, but were comprehensively dealt with by Brazil. Germany then fell to Spain, and although it was a narrow defeat, Germany never really had a foothold in the game.
Spain and Holland have both been very solid, yet unspectacular. Sadly, there has been a particular emphasis in this tournament of teams going with a very cautious approach. Both Spain and Holland play with two sitting midfielders and like to retain possession whilst wearing the other team down gradually. The days of gung ho attacking play appear to be long gone, as sides playing in that fashion cannot break the likes of Holland down. I can't really blame teams for that, though: look at what happened to Argentina when they played Germany. Germany sat back and absolutely thrashed them with counter attacks.
I think this final will be very boring, and that Spain will win 1-0. Though both teams like to keep the ball, Spain will press Holland high up the pitch and make things uncomfortable for them, much like they did against Germany to good effect. I also think that Spain have the better players, particularly in defence and will see Holland out.

True plus you always need abit of luck if your gonna win tournaments like that

really enjoyed tonights game, both teams just went for the win because of no pressure, if you look at the previos world cups, the 3/4th play off game always has lots of goals for this reason, the final though is usually an anti-climax, hoping for an early goal though, then might be more of an open game!
