Thanks for all the feedback guys, it's all very much appreciated. Even the "meatwad" tangent.
I've got some money saved up towards gear, looking at it all right now. Didn't know if you guys had any recommendations.
Just try'n to get basic -solid hardware that can fill a heart with bliss.
Looking at the gear of this High Octane Evolution DJ right now, and you guys weren't kinding -those Technics rape wallets.
+ Technics SL-1210M5G Turntables
+ Ortofon Concorde S Styli
+ Pioneer DJM-600K Mixer
+ Pioneer CDJ100S CD Turntable
+ Pioneer DMP-555 CD Turntable

If you're serious about it look on ebay for some 2nd hand Technics or Pioneer CD decks. Or if you just want to dip your toes you can get something along the lines of what i got for a first setup; a belt driven turntable package with a mixer that had about 3 nobs. Stylus right now aren't important, as long as you have one on each turntable it doesn't matter if they're the best. If it helps at all my set up now is as follows;
2x Technics SL-1210 M5G
Pioneer DJM-600
Plus a DVS system

I have been using vinyl for over 10 years now and tought myself on a pair of fairly cheap sound lab decks, but with more and more mp3s coming out I got a behringher BCD3000 digital mixer and gemini groove software and its so hard! yes it seems easier, with the sync button ect. but I dunno having an actual slab of vinyl in front of you is so much easier. Im sure it will get easier with practice, but it doesnt feel right.

i dont use the sync what I mean is people might think its easier having the sync but its not at all. you just cant beat a vinyl! plus aswell there nothing like going into a record shop and listening to the records then buying them and taking them home and listening to them. but unfortunatly technology move on. while we are on about this, how many record shops are there near you now? I live in north east england and around me it is just impossible to buy records, especially hardcore.

timecodes is refering to timecoded Vinyl or CD media that are 'timecoded' so that you can use them to control mp3's using your existing cd/turntable + mixer setup via a junction box and software still have the exact feel of vinyl and/or cd.
(popular ones being Serato, or Torq etc etc)

I got into hardcore when I was 11. back in 1998.
I got my first DJ set when I was 16. my very first job with my first two pay checks.
IF you like, you can easily find a very cheap DJ set for $200 online(I had gotten a Gem Sound, two turntable, mixer set). Go to a local pawn shop and you can get an amp for $50-$90 depending on where you go. and same for the speakers. You should be able to find those old school sound system speakers from the 80's easily and cheap and could double up as a stand for your set.
That's how I did it, and after some time practicing with them, you can make the decision weather you want to go all in and get better, more expensive equipment. So on, and so forth.
God speed brah.
