The refs have been terrible today, england v germany the ball went over the line and he never noticed and now Argentina v Mexico and tevez was offside and the ref gived argentina the goal but admits later on that he made a big mistake but he cant take back the goal....

Both those decisions were the fault of the linesman, not the referee.

As for taking back the goal in the Mexico game, the replay should never have been shown on the screens in the ground. Not only does it add the risk of causing unrest, but it also lets the referee know he's made a mistake, and that's not something you want to have resting on his mind.

Even if the referee did see that the goal was offside on the screen, he can't retrospectively disallow it.

I told you guys England are a shit side, they came 2nd in probably the most easiest group, and failed even harder when they came up against a half decent side. Even if England's 2nd goal was allowed, it wouldn't have changed the result in any way whatsoever, they were beaten way before then.
England would have had no chance against Argentina.

It's the fault of the rules not the officials.

germany will win the world cup...

You hit the nail on the head about the group.. A team that cant beat Algeria how the hell can anyone think/expect us to beat a team like Germany?

This world cup has actually been brilliant for England on a whole... Now its time for the FA and Premier League to wake up..

These players play against each other each week.. How are they all of a sudden ment to just play together as a team and do well? Most of them play with forigners who play a different type of football... It doesnt work, not at national level...

Wake up FIFA, FA & EPL

fully agreed. The media needs to give all this hype a ****ing rest, we're a mediocre team full of prima donnas.

And Rooney is ridiculously overrated, much more than any other player on earth.

12 England players over 30. Needs more young talent instead of the over rated over payed 1's we just had.

Gotta agree Scotty, some of the decisions have been outrageous! Very, very soft yellow cards have plagued this World Cup & its seriously killing the flow of some games.

As for the England "goal" I think that could have seriously changed the outcome of the game. Yes, England really aren't up to the German standard but that was a serious turning point in that game & the confidence of the English players would have been much better going into halftime.

It means they wouldn't have had to open up as much chasing the equaliser, they could have became a lot more structured & atleast played for penalties. Instead they had to go for it & lost another 2 goals. Terrible turn of luck which ruined the whole game & this is coming from a Scot!

not a chance mate... If that goal stood then germany would had another 3. England just aint up to it and could only manage 2 goals in the world cup...

Germany had way too much space
