I thought you would have been out to loads of places too! I don't think it's fair to say things like darren styles is killing hardcore if you haven't even seen him live or even been to a rave in recent months! When I listen to "bang yer head off" at my PC I think "meh" but when a DJ drops it live I'm yelling out "YEEAAAAHHHH" in time with it and having a great old stomp, and I think I've only ever got drunk or had a drink at 1 or 2 raves ever!

Point being there is a lot to say for the atmosphere a tune creates rather than how it sounds on home speakers! Get yourself out there and you will probably find much more to love about hardcore! And if not, get yourself into the old skool rooms, that's where you'll find me most of the time!

I think you and I would be appalled if we found out what percentage of online forum creepers actually get their asses out to events. Some people seem to forget that Hardcore is party music after all.

you can easily point out that the ppl who criticize the commercial side of hardcore the most are usually the ones that never go out. i do have to agree that listening to the tunes at home and hearing them live at a rave give you totally different vibes!

Flashlight by Darren Styles is an ok song overall, but damn it was incredible hearing it live, and the whole crowd was eating it up at the rave i went to! i was singing along to it and dancing to it as well! and it wasn't all DS and AATW artist set. it was a mixture of stuff by Darwin, Fracus, D&G, Marc Smith, etc. so u shouldn't really take any1s opinion and critiques about the actual scene (not the music, the scene in general like events and stuff) too seriously if they don't even go out to an event or two every now and then.

Generally true but not always as I've been to many raves and continue to. Either way though it's easy to tell that a great percentage of this forum don't actually go out to raves.

My walls used to be pretty much completely covered in a mix of rave flyers and Skateboarding pictures but when I moved out of my parents house I binnned them all. Don't think I've got any old photos lying around either.
