well...i dont miss the US' music scene ...or the actual scenery, but everything you listed! :P
the US have some of the friendliest people i've ever met, right up there with the dutch, the dutch are also very friendly!
Music here does suck, but its getting better. I heard Darren Styles on a local "Dj" station the other day, every saturday is "top remix/dance radio" has some "good" dance, like Darren Styles, Casscada, Deadmau5, s3lr. So its getting bette. There is no scenery at all, well around where I live...
"friendliest people" WTF are you on?! Most people wont even give you the time, or like you bum a dollar or anything. FFs shit is bad over here...

Low cost of living? I thought it was pricey over here.... Its like $800 a month for a shitty 3 bedroom flat over here.. And thats living on $1700 a month, car payment and shit. So im down to like $200 for anything..

Wow $800 a month for a 3 BEDROOM flat? That very much is a deal compared to where I live. Not to mention clothing... food... The U.S. is cheap compared to Canada. Not to mention the difference in taxes.

yeah - COL is definatly more acceptable over there.
its going to be more expensive on the coasts - but if you're in the midwest as i was prices are much more acceptable.

& since when have Americans been classed as a friendly ppl? I'm not trying to offend anyone on here but i've been to America 3 times & have found them to be the most ignorant & mannerless ppl I have come across. Sorry but its true.
EDIT - just to add, I was in Florida everytime so this could have been the problem, as much as I love Florida as a holiday destination!

well no wonder. Florida's full of cranky old ppl who are about to die!
I've been to Florida before on vacation. I didn't have a problem with anyone. probably something u did or say set them off
And NYC is bad. personally i'm not a fan of ppl from there or Jersey. A lot of them have no class.

Don't worry I feel the same way, most everyone here is ignorant and not open to anything new, their opinions are the only right way and crap
See next reply for the florida thing.

You may think Florida is just cracky old people, but guess who get the most speeding tickets, who do the most of the crime, you'd be surprised what they "cranky old people" do.
Its hard to be yourself in Florida without being looked down on, you need to be the "norm" if not then people are dicks.
Its hard to find a place in the states where people are nice to you no matter what you look like. Its either race, gender or the way you look...

But what do you earn hourly? I get about $9, so yeah its hard to support yourself on that..
