It will be out on MTV over in the states in a few months... Which will just fail.. I have watched like all 4 seasons, and now its going turn into "jersey shore"...

don't go saying anything is shit until you give it a try. i'm thinking there is a 75% chance it will be shit but i'm not gonna pass judgement till i give it a go. from what i've read it should be pretty similar to the uk version (nothing like jersey shore), of coarse it won't be the exactly the same but it might be be good in other ways.
take the u.k. and american versions of the office as an example....

I hated the office.
The thing is, the states is more strict with what is in the tv show. No nudity (not even an ass), no underage drinking, cant see the drug at all, cant show them smoking a splif, hardly any cussing. I say there might be 20% chance it will be descent, but nothing compared to the British version.
The only upside is that I will know what they are saying 100% of the time, unlike when I watched the British version. lol

i saw a press release thing a few months ago from the makers of skins about how people were worried that the US version would be watered down and they were adamant that it would be just as edgy as the UK version. they put out a bunch of screen shots of the characters and there were all sorts of giant pupiled gay arabs dancing around with alcohol and drugs etc. they appeared to be pushing the boundaries of political correctness and just as edgy just as much as the original.
i still agree that there is a chance it will be shit but give it a go first. the first thing that came to mind when i saw they were making a US version was along the lines of "pffft, this will be tame and massive fail" just like anyone else who has seen and enjoyed the original but looking into it a little bit it could be decent.
i saw in the news the other day that mtv made an australian version of jersey shore called (i think) "freshwater blue" set about 10 minutes from my house on the northern beaches of sydney. i might be able to go do some headbutting if it's as mentally damaging as the 30 seconds of jersey shore i saw on swedish mtv.....
