I think the light may be the problem, but this is really weird, since a lot of american people I've spoken to call me a mexican...
It's also, due to the lights, really hard to see that I have blue eyes.
OnT: Do you guys think I look like a person from a latino/hispanic "breed"? (couldn't figure the word out.)

Latino/Hispanic just seems to be some racial distinction Americans like to use because they can't seem to bring themselves to call anyone who isn't strictly of Northern European descent 'white'.

Well, it was on chatroulette lol, and that was taken with the same cam, the same light that was when I was online there. I don't think another pic is needed.

That has to be one of the most poorly thought out responses I've seen in awhile.

Should be easy for you to refute then.
The fact is it's used as a racial term for a group of people who are not a race. It seems commonplace in the US to create these distinctions for pretty much anyone who isn't of a Northern European complexion. My guess would be that it's due to the inherent racism in American society, the same reason that racist labels like 'African American' are acceptable. You never hear anyone calling a white person a Euro-American or Nordic or any variation of - so why are these distinctions necessary for everyone else?

Yeah i find it annoying too.
Regarding the original post, what does it matter even if you looked full on Mexican? I mean, unless everyone you know looks down on Mexicans then what does it matter.
