So I haven't gotten my album yet :( US postal service is being real shitty for Texas, but CDJay took care of me in the meantime thanks a million!
My favorites in the album are:
Comin' Down
Freedom
Breakaway
Come Home (of course!)
The track that blows me away the most is definitely Breakaway. It's such a beautiful and brilliant track! it stands apart from a lot of the dub/drumstep tracks out there atm, and it definitely has some hardcore influences in there that many of you who don't particularly like dub/drumstep would enjoy!
Overall the album is classic Fracus & Darwin at their best, along some surprising electro influences that caught my attention, especially in Comin' Down. I'm generally not too crazy about electro influences in hardcore, but this was produced at the perfect speed that the tracks including them quickly became some of my favorites!
only disappointment (if they can be even called that) is that breakaway was less than 4mins long. i can listen to that song all day long! and also Out of Control is not the same version as on HU2010, but i'm sure it'll be available for digital download soon!
Thought I would start an official comment thread for this album as it really has had none except for ppl using the tracklisting thread.
And I agree with whoever mentioned it, but there's far too many ppl creating and complaining on CXH threads, and not enough ppl posting and praising on topics for albums such as this 1 and HU

Sadly won't be able to buy it unless it goes up on Amazon. I don't have my own bank account and my brother only lets me buy from there.

Triq: I couldnt at that moment :P
Anyways, if the songs are like the ones that appear on the new Bang! album I might consider buy this, as long as there isnt too much dubstep or electro :P

There's not too much dubstep or electro, but BA is not a "clean" UK hardcore album - nor is it supposed to be one. It's an artist showcase of what F&D can do, and as such it's brilliant. :)

We're hugely appreciative of the support people have shown HU in buying 'Balancing Act', and it's really nice to read so many positive comments about it! The album is of course predominantly Hardcore, but we've tried to be as varied and interesting as we can; thinking outside the box wherever possible (hence tracks like 'Breakaway', which aren't really any one style of music or another). Plenty more music to come in 2011! :)

Seems like Darwin's not going to return to that "Magical Rainbow" style :( No offense, but some of this just sounds like elevator music..."Start Again".

I dont think that, he just didn't bring that style to this album. I don't think we have seen the last of it ;)

I would just like to see a rise of more happier, energetic tracks. Get back to Hardcore's root. Get something wild and exciting, not trancey and "easy to the ears".
