I just have read on a German websight, that there will be an interessting and strange cultural event coming up.

Here is the German quote of that website. I added an English translation right after that quote.

quote:
Sonderveranstaltung Matt Stokes: Sacred Selections
Termin: 11.2.2011
Zeiten: ab 21 Uhr
Ort: Martinskirche Martinsplatz 5a 34117 Kassel
Happy Hardcore Orgelkonzert

Matt Stokes Sacred Selections

Special event Matt Stokes: Sacred Selections
Date: February 11th 2011
Time: beginning 9 pm
Location: Martins church Martinsplatz 5a 34117 Kassel
Happy Hardcore pipe organ concert

Matt Stokes Sacred Selections

In line with the exhibit the artist initialises a concert, combining two different musical genres in an exceptional style. Londoner organist Paul Ayres intones Happy Hardcore tracks; a music genre, which combines elements of Trance and Hardcore; and to form a contrast between something danceable and classic pipe organ tracks.

The concert starts Friday February 11th 2011 9 pm in the Martins church of Kassel

I am really exited about what this is going to be and sound, due I allways have liked the pipe organ sound of synthezisers. Although I probably will have to work that day, I will try everything to get to this event. My first reaction was extreamly laughing, but what the hell. It's one source of inspiration you should get, when you're listening and especially produce this kind of music. Those are events, which can form yourself.

I've heard more similar to this, it was a version of Shooting Star I remember correctly. Can't find it now but I'm sure I posted it on here a few years ago.

Aha!

I knew I'd heard it before: http://www.templebargallery.com/2007Programme/0701lostin2.htm

Taken from a thread on here 3 years ago. It has streaming audio of the songs on that site.

I'm sure I posted a youtube video of Shooting Star on the pipe organ though...

The clapping at the end threw me off at first. I thought it was being played at a church, just not a full one. As for the people clapping I'd say most people know a good melody when they hear it, ravers or not.

This whole topic hurts my head to be honest. It's just rediculous.

Sorry if it seems like I'm taking it too seriously. It's just that Heart of Gold still strikes a chord in me every time I hear it.

Btw, what's up with these threads on pipes lately?

In Germany? Probably not! I don't think so! Here, most of the people think of Dune, Bluemchen (Blossom) and Scooter's "Hyper Hyper", when it comes to Happy Hardcore! F**k those prejustices But to my opinion this country is lustening for this music! The majority of the population just doesn't know this at the moment. :D

A Pipe Organ is a musical instrument and it wasn't used Last Anthem.

I feel there is a 'spiritual connection' between church and Happycore music as well as some elements of Electronic music like Gospel House music.
