boom am buzzing, season is about to start and I've got a job...

I don't mind people sharing life stories, makes me look not so sad..
no I left my previous job as it wasn't all that busy and over staffed so left...
my new job is working behind the bar of a busy famous caravan park chain... its a pretty big one in the UK

Well arent you lucky... I can not find a job anywhere, I'be been shot down at lest 20 times in the last two months...

it has taken me like 2 did months... I had 4 interviews in the last 4 weeks for example...

I had a job at some fast food place, and I also had a 4 month job doing maintenance on 20 or so buildings and landscaping.
I've been applying for anything really, from retail to shoveling shit. The other ones wont even look at my app until I'm 18, which is in 2 weeks..

Which is understandable.
You can not sell liquor, tobacco, or porn magazines until you're 18. Not only that, you can't legally work power equipment just as power jacks or forklifts. So of course they wouldn't look until then, otherwise they can only use you for certain things, when you should do everything.

I don't think it is understandable, so just because I'm not this magic number, I have to sit at home for the last 3 years waiting to become this number? It's utter ********.
What I dont understand is I can get my Ged at 16, but yet I can not get a job almost anywhere because of the ****ing number.

laws are there to protect the employer, and you as well. you could've gone back to fast food or something similar to that (grocery stores). yes it does suck working there, but if you really wanted a job then you would have no shame staying there or getting another job in those industries. the way i see it is once you are 18 you'll have a decent 2yrs of work history to look good on your job applications.
i don't think putting down 2yrs sulking and waiting for you to turn 18 would look good on job applications, does it?

I know that, I mean if the government changed the age for the limits to 16-17, more people could get a shitty job and not sit on their asses. But a employer could care less if I were 17, if the government didnt give a shit about ages..
