I was using 2 smaller hard drives & a while ago decided to buy a larger one to store all my music is one place. I have created a folder called All Music on the hard drive. Today while converting my albums to that folder using windows media player the last 4 tracks will not convert. Why? There's over 500gb of space left. I've tried with other albums & even some MP3's from my documents but still receive this failed to convert message.
Can anybody help? Is it that i can only store a certain amount in the "All Music" folder & need to create "All Music 2" folder? Or is it something simple & i can fix so i can can carry on adding to the original "All Music" folder?
Thank you.

no, I think I've heard about this before. It's no the hardware's fault, its WMP's encoder

I dont use WMP.. But check your properties for the song/file itself.
Open the properties, it should look like:

Make sure the file attributes are unchecked, mainly "read-only" or "unlock/unblock".
Try again.
Report back.

Tried that mate. All are unchecked. This is the exact message i get:
Windows audio converter did not convert the source audio file. The file in the destination folder cannot be replaced, or there is not enough disk space to complete the operation.

Have you tried removing the files' listings from WMP, then going to their location on the hard drive, selecting, them then adding them back into WMP?
Have you tried moving the files themselves to the drive without using WMP?

Take the songs that wont convert, make a folder on your desktop, convert them, put them on the new hdd.
The songs might have been encoded wrong, or might be a weird codec. So try that method, if still nothing, I might have one more you can try.
Also, check the folder you are putting the converted song into...
/(D:)Porn/All music/songs/dance/hardcore/album
Check and see if the "album" has the rights to write to disk, like I said in my last post..
Try, and report back.

what and why are you converting?
Also, there is a limit on how long the TOTAL filepath might be. I presume Windows still limits to 256 letters for a file(path)
