Ehm...probably only my exclusive point of view, but wtf:
1) I'd rather visit an industrial plant or dance to the sound of an alarm device than listening to such boring "noisy" (it's called Schranz) or "Minimal" shit. If this current hype continues, EDM will die out!
This is "music" produced for completely uninspired persons, who are looking for some ego boost. Rather snap your finger for hours and think it's cool than sweating and receive the feedback to be a total loony.
2) I deny there ever has been a genre called "Techno". Tmo it is a term, which has been used to combine all different genres of EDM besides House and Dance since the beginning of the 90's.
3) German EDM has sucked totaly since the millenium (except for some House tracks)!

Bought a little load of techno tracks off TID, all pretty similar styles apart from a few of them being tech trance. They were all classified there as Funky, like the tune you linked. You can find a bunch of podcast episodes here, and there should be tracklists for all of them, but it's hard to find so I just google "mekhanizm xxx", xxx being the episode number in question :p
