Freeform seems to me a lot more Experimental Etc
and as you maye have noticed a lot of todays Uk Hardcore is quite Vocal Driven with a Very Happy Melody.
I Personally Love both :D

Freeform is usually more hard dance influenced than UK Hardcore

Yeah freeform is like where trance and hardcore seem to meet in the middle. I'm not a big fan of it because I'm more into happy stuff that's bouncy and has cheesy vocals but it does sound very polished and swish

freeform tends to be dark and melancholic with lots of acidic lines, with little or no vocals, experimental.
uk hardcore tends to be happy and bouncy, often with vocals.
thats in its simplist terms

Yeah, UK hardcore is less bouncy and happy now though. It's either kind of that hard dirty bassline stuff or the kind of euphoric diva vocals, but I think that's the nature of the beast really, trancy synths are all the rage and they don't really go well together with cheesy singalong vocals unfortunately.
In my opinion Stompy - Forever Hardcore was the last of true Happy Hardcore, I don't think there are any trancey synths in that whatsoever yet it is most certainly upfront - just very bouncy. I love that tune sooooo much!

Now it is basically just Hard Dance (not good Hard Dance either) at Hardcore speed. Awful.

Really good tune that! Has the best lead line ever! Incredibly cheesey vocal but it's done a way that's true to older Hardcore and so i like it. Unfortunately i think it's just some euro tune with a Hardcore kick and bass put over the top (literally) for the most part.

This, this and this are tracks labeled as "freeform".
Whilst this and this are tracks typically labeled as "UK hardcore" (though freeform is UK hardcore, too, but this is of a happier, cheesier type).
Surely you hear the difference. :)

Yeah the original is called "Young Forever" I think. It was on one of the dancemania or DDR type games. But still a great tune! Simple and effective, any upfront sounding hardcore I put out is likely to sound like this, heavy bubblegum dance influences.
