This thread is fcuking diabolic.
It's got everything. Childish ripping, overly insulting stuff, pointless piss-taking, jubilation that a member that was passionate about hardcore has left.
Fcuking hell. Talk about people being put off by Smoogie's videos. This thread's about as bigger a deterrent to new comers as I can think of.

This is what i mean when the forum has gone downhill. That kind of attitude. But it's nothing new. It's standard in day to day life but in the Hardcore scene and on here the level of respect was much higher, which is partly what made it so good.

I've contributed a lot to this forum, not just in posts but i also ran/run the hhc.com awards. I've been here since 2004 on different usernames, i've given away free tracks, and will be giving away more, i've sought help from people on here, and made friends with MANY people on here that i now keep in contact with on and off the boards. I'm not a noob keyboard warrior, and being that it's a forum i have a right to share what i like/dislike about the people and of the forum itself.
I've always been straight up with people that i like and don't like. I don't particularly like kathryn, but she doesn't intentionally try to piss me off so im civil. And for the most part i know we just disagree because we're at different stages in life and have different perspectives.
Not even a year ago i didn't like matt hard2get. Never hid it, but now i think he's a sound guy. Maybe i didn't understand him for a long time. But whatever the case, i like him now and i think most of his posts are sound, and as a person he's pretty cool.
Smoogie has never done anything redeeming for me. Like i said in my original post, he did the opposite. I check every topic on this board, and just seeing the drivel he's posted annoys me. We gave him an alternative, because a lot of other people agreed with my sentiment, and it was sanctioned by moderators. He ignored this, and continued doing what so many people were open to admitting was pissing them off.
At the end of the day this is a community, and if you piss everyone off you'll get stuff said about you. It's not different from real life. Respect is given where it's due and in my honest opinion he doesn't deserve any. Had he gone to his own topic and continued to post his drivel for all that were interested, we'd have no problem and i personally wouldn't have anything bad to say about him. But he didn't, and it was his choice.
we didn't banish him from the forum, he didn't get banned, he's leaving of his own accord. This isn't www.happysmoogie.com, and if he makes posts that a lot of people don't like then live with the consequences - people giving you criticism.
Smoogie has proven time and time again that he doens't listen to, albeit care what other people think. To be honest i think the few 'rushing to his aid' care far more than he does.
It's a forum and being as such it ENCOURAGES opinion. The collective have decided that smoogie is annoying, his own fault, and he now left of his own choice. You cannot assign blame for any of this to anyone except smoogie.
And for the record, people are taking this too personally. I'd like to think most of the people here are happy smoogie is gone because there'll be no more shitty topics about shitty things that just annoy people. Not because we all have a personal vendetta against him.
That's pretty much all i have to say on the topic, and i think people should think more logically about where we're all posting and what has actually happened.

However, you've missed my point (if it's the 'defending Smoogie point' that I think you were addressing, which it seems like you were). My post's purpose wasn't to defend Smoogie. It was to highlight the fact that this thread serves as a massive turn-off for any potential new members.
