removed Thank you for contacting AT&T U-verse Member Support. My name is removed. How are you doing today?
You Fine. You?
removed Just to verify, am I chatting with the account holder?
You removed
removed Thank you. Let me pull up your account with the information you provided.
removed removed, if we get disconnected from this chat session, I would like for you to re-enter our chat service line by using the below link: removed
You Alright
removed I was able to open your Account Information. Also, may I have your preferred e-mail address?
You removed
removed Thank you.
removed How can I make you an very satisfied U-verse Member today?
You I was wondering how to get my RCA Blu-Ray player (model number RTB1023) working with the U-Verse remote.
You I've dug through the U-Verse support area and only DVD players are listed (and none of the RCA codes for them work with the player).
removed I wish I could assist you on that. However, AT&T Connectech, a fee-based technical support service, may be able to help you with your concerns; you can call them at 866-393-7547.
removed They are open seven days per week, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. ET.
You Why can't you help me?
removed You have reached the U-verse Technical Support group.
removed I am sorry. We have no information about Bluray Player, hence I request you to kindly contact the Connectech Department.
You Erm, ok, but why doesn't AT&T have Blu-Ray player codes listed? Only DVD player codes?
You That doesn't make any sense.
You Blu-ray is a standard now though... a standard that's become increasingly popular
removed Bluray player is a Non AT&T product.
You Wait, what?
You AT&T makes DVD players or something?
removed Yes.
removed The codes are generated by the Manufacturer. AT&T does not manufacture Bluray Player which is why they are not supported as AT&T cannot generate the codes.
removed You can also contact the product manufacturer to get codes.
You You're joking, right?
removed I can imagine how you feel about it. However, to get better assistance please contact the concerned department.
You Um, yeah... I'm not paying for a device code that AT&T should have, and other universal remote suppliers have already made available (but for their own remotes). Thanks for trying to help though.
removed Are all your other AT&T U-verse services working fine?
You I guess.
removed I am also sending you some articles related to your issues today on your preferred e-mail address.
removed Is there anything else I can assist you with today? (TV, Internet, Phone or Bill)
You no
Edit: Ugh ok, I think I've finally got the formatting fixed... stupid forum.

What caught me off guard is that every other AT&T tech support I've talked to via chat, while using canned responses, didn't come off as incompetent to me (actually rather knowledgeable IMO). This guy... I have no idea. I can't tell if what he was trying to say was lost in translation or if he actually thinks that.

Opera is god's gift to the internet. It went like "Humanity, you passed level 4, you've now unlocked the god browser ability"

I wouldn't say I've seen the light. All browsers have their merits... except IE6. :)
