Due to a recent post by Erbl(http://www.happyhardcore.com/forums/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=&TOPIC_ID=5346), the cover art from the new bonkers (bonkers 9 - Hardcore Mutation) has been brought to light to all on happyhardcore.com, and it is my view and others that the covers look...well...crap (or tacky/cheesy or just generally bad!).
So i have decided to start a petition that i will be sending to react to STOP THE NEW COVER DESIGN BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!!
just say yes or some such thing if you want to be added to the list....

I think thats a bit unfair. They are doing shit loads for the scene, people like you must make them think 'why do I bother'. The cover cannot appeal to all tastes just live with it.

I think the cover art on the new Bonkers is ****ing terrible. But hey thats just me. Its the music that counts!!! Just keep reminding yourself that!
And Alex_g, I'm sure people can handle that kind of critcism! Its not like he was harsh or anything.

i just think that the covers are shite!
now i do respect everyone responsible for any contributors to the hardcore scene, and especially bonkers, due to the albums being a key part of hardcore releases for times past and present.
I just really think that the covers look awful, and the covers from previous bonkers are 100000000000% better!!

lol every1s only so mad abt it cos theyve changed...if all the old bonkers had origionally bin that design no1 wuda thought twice abt it! but now its changin every1s goin crazy..! i dnt want the covers 2 change cos its more of a set or sumthin if they r all the same...but then it aint really that bigga deal neways!

gay...wtf should it matter what the cover looks like? you're still going to buy it for what's inside anyway right? let them put whatever artwork they want on the front and leave it at that.
if you want to do artwork for them, why not send them some ideas of what you think the artwork you'd like to see on there would look like.

I agree with alex g. React bring back Bonkers because they realise that the scene has stepped up a level and is flying again and then they try something new for the new album and get hit with critisism. I feel really sorry for them I do.
Now, I might not prefer the new cover design to the older one's but hey, I couldnt care less. I'll still be buying it for the music and not for the sake of the cover. Thats just petty as is this petition.
I dont mean to offend any1 as you're all right to view your opinions. Mine is that the cover is fine and something new...... just like the new Hardcore that is being released at the present time! New style of cover for the new style of hardcore that is being made! Makes sence!
And Brian K, good idea m8. If ppl here dont like the desing then design your own cover and send it to them and see what they think!

Ok, i now see that i am getting a "public enemy no.1" thing going on here...
ok, change is always good, but i think that they have changed it waaaaay to much, and if they are gonna change it, a design that looks less tacky is better.
IMO the new cover has lost the feeling that the other Bonkers CDs have gave out.
All i think that they have made the covers a bit too serious. wheres the cheeky edge that the previous albums have displayed on the front?
xxhappyxx - If the covers had been like that origionally they wouldn't have stood out from the croud. would they had been as popular as they have been??
And as i quote from DJ Stylus from the other post - "Bring back the old covers that way us collecters can still have some kinda collection goin rather than lookin like some kinda limit or foreign version!!!!"
A collection isn't a collection when the 9th looks compleatly different (and poor).
IMO (again...) the new covers look just like any other cheap hardcore collection (ok, not saying that any other hardcore collection is cheap, but there u go anyway)

hey I loved the old cover but it was dated in design terms its a simple as that! It stands for the change in music from Happy bouncy to more commercial/ happy & better produced & the cover DOES look more professional, I admit its bit tacky, but if you show any other Bonkers cover to a non HHC fan they'll say its tacky!
PS-the cover will more than likely already be in production if its due out early Nov!

I actually think that its only on the drawing board stage but thinking about it, the cover for Rezzurection came about about this early when that was getting released so I feel that maybe this cover is gonna stick regardless of what ever petition will get to them. I really dont mind the cover. Its a change and somethin new.
I do agree about the collecters view thow. Ive got all the Bonkers and it may look odd but Im not too bothered about it!

nothing wrong with the cover, tbh it looks more serious than the old (but good) cartoons... i think its quite good, not crap or cheesy either
