exactly, my new rule for raving is if there is no old skool I'm not going. I'm tired of sitting in the smoking area not wanting to dance, most of the time with upfront I can barely even hear the music for the amount of bass bouncing off every corner of the room drowning out everything including the MC and to be honest it's not even improved by chemicals which personally I didn't even think was possible. I'm gonna look for some psytrance raves instead.

i was thinking the same thing wtf does he have to bitch about? he's part of the raverbaby/aatw crew and they're the ones that mostly hire him. financially they're thriving the most b/c of their generic maintstream sound. if he truly believed what he said he'd make an effort to help out the up-and-coming artists with genuine talent

I think he was mainly annoyed about the morons posting on Pontins wall, which was really unfair - they are a family park primarily with kids posting on there about what a fun time they had with their family, only to be followed up by some chav sayign
"WOT THE **** PONTINS, RAVERZ GONNA BOYKOT YOZ! BUTLINS INNIT"
and then to be followed up with "DONT BE A TWAT ITS NOT PONTINS FAULT STUPID ****, SLAMMING ARE GOING BANKRUPT!"
even the people who were against what the idiots said werent even wording their responses in a very adult manner.
it doesnt just stick at pontins though, i'm sure butlins could easily see what sort of response Pontins are getting and thing "well shit, if thats the sort of people they are, we wouldnt want them here either"
that said - Bangface is still going ahead, and they had none of these issues that the hardcore weekender had...

guessing you missed that? puts a bit of a downer on your point :P
the only reason I didnt say anything was because mr bass had already made a good point ;) seriously though when someone puts in that much effort to write that much its content and feeling thats important, not grammer.

yes but the guy is completely talentless.. well as a hardcore MC anyway... might have other talents but I doubt it...
I couldn't really give two shites about grammar or spelling... its the fact that some people are too quick on here... and yes I missed that quote... I only read the first page before replying...

Everything in this world goes around and round in circles, it's driving me insane, I should know what's always coming next but invariably I always forget, then I have a nice surprise!
That which dies shall always be re-born, just (usually) in a slightly different form.
Enjoy the magical roundabout of life.

http://forum.globalgathering.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2065&sid=972a07249ef12cafbbcc76335cf3ae83 some DJ/MC posted it on FB and it was forwarded to that thread, its not solid gold evidence, but it sounds fairly likely and explains quite well why both HTID and Random Concept were dropped

But yes ppl bitch too much about the current condition of the scene. It would be far better if those whining about the current condition of the scene and what's being released out there to leave it altogether and take part in the genre that you are currently enjoying. no sense in dragging yourself and others into a cesspool of negativity
I read it all with no problems.:)

That post does talk about albums being massive again- that's going to be an uphill battle as the events get the music recorded and sell it already. The massive hardcore events can happen again for sure. Some reason for the size of the scene before was ongoing great music releases.
Compilations find it hard to compete as they pay for the music that they receive money for.
This has meant the lack of money going back to the producers doesn't really motivate the producers as much as when they got paid for it. This has been a contributing factor to the music and a knock on effect for the sales. This is only a factor, not an entire reason for the drop off.
However, this is only a problem for the people involved in those events... the music revolution is already being worked on. Long live hardcore music. (The events scene is a different thing).

what's the music revolution gonna be like? I agree with you there btw. hardcore is such a small scene and given how much filesharing I've seen it really makes me wonder how quosh and so on can afford to leave months between releases

I think the scene is receding. You cant have a sustainable scene saturated with labels and artists all competing.
90% of the hardcore fan base are probably all DJ's or Artists themselves.
