So I'm having this discussion with a friend.
"When there's nowhere left to run/rain"
I want it to be "rain", it kinda sounds like he's saying "rein", but my friends says "run". "Run" rhymes with "sun", but it sounds more like "rain" and to me it makes sense that the one he's singing to has had so much sadness (the rain, tears?) that it seems to have taken over, and therefore is looking for the sun (happiness).

It is without question 'run'. It's even in song name. Rain makes no sense to me, certainly not compared to run. Maybe it's a translation thing and it makes more sense to you.

With your guys comments, I guess makes no sense at all either!
I don't see why it's so hard to see how poetic "When there's nowhere left to rain" could be. The person isn't raining, lol, the symbolism is that the rain represents sadness, negative feelings and happenings, etc, JUST LIKE THE SONG I POSTED JUST NOW, and it has spread everywhere. It really isn't that hard to grasp. Maybe I'm used to deep songs, and you're all shallow with the hardcore lyrics! :P

That's a rubbish example! The way that uses the words makes sense, unlike your interpretation of run to you - which poetic or not, doesn't. And please don't go down the 'you listen to hardcore so you're not as clever as me' route, that's pretty insulting.
