Planning on booking a trip to the UK next year to see a lot of the hardcore djs I know that'll never get an opportunity to see here in the US, and I remembered about HTID in the Sun. Has anyone ever been to one of them? if so is it worth the whole 7 days?

Yeah it's Spain, but I'd also like to know, considered going this year but couldn't get the money in time. :P

Yea I know it's in Spain what I like is that all these djs will be centralized in one city, whereas my first initial idea was to go to the UK and see some of these djs, although the traveling costs would have been hell as well as booking a variety of hotels and whatnot. and also there's no guarantee that I'll see a lot of these. It's tough trying to plan out a trip just to make these gigs, which is why I like that HTID in the sun already has confirmed dates! :)
still might consider going to the UK for a weekend, before I head out to Spain. I'm thinking since Ham and Scott Brown weren't booked for last year's HTID, there's a chance they won't get booked this time either. Really would love to meet Ham and take a picture with him!

It's just as well you're expecting him not to be there then. Generally raves here are far too populated to garuntee that kind of thing. In America i imagine they are intimate enough that it would be hard not to but you have to be lucky with timing over here. Either that or camp outside the DJ booth entrance.

Yes I've been the last 4 years for the full week. Really is an amazing experience and well worth the trip. :)

I'd camp out just for that chance! lol
Do you have VIP sections where you get to hang out in the lobby where the djs hang out as well? We have those at some of our events, although personally I've never found the need for the VIP here.
I have been fortunate enough to take a pic with Gammer, S3RL & Kevin Energy. Honestly that's thanks to the ignorance of a lot of these ravers here they don't know what these big names have done for the music and scene. Didn't get much of a chance to talk to Gammer at all, but the poor guy looked exhausted didn't want to bother him. S3RL I got a chance to talk to him for a few minutes. And Kevin, well there's not enough good things I can say about that guy! He's an incredible man. We went out for drinks one night, had dinner the next night and we basically hung out with him between his shows and after his last one at the Tennessee rave I went to.
Hopefully I get some of those experiences with the djs at HTID In The Sun. Maybe not go out for a few drinks but at least strike up a nice conversation :)

But but!! You'll need company on the plane! And what if I promise to stand at least 300 feet away from you at all times?

At a lot of events these days yes. Not HTID in the Sun though. I'm sure you would get a good chance to chat with the DJ's and MC's, everyone chills around the resort. :)

If you get the chance to go do! I've been for the past 3 years, and had 3 of the best weeks of my life!
During the day there's a couple of bars to go in that all the ravers go to so easy to meet people if you don't know many there. There's boat parties, foam parties, a water park party that was amazing last year! and loads of other stuff going on.
And then the night starts at about 10 right through till 4/5 during week and 6 at weekend. The lineups are usually pretty varied, although last year was a bit of a let down, and there's plenty of gabba usually and old school room on one of the nights.
If you go for 3 days you will totally regret not doing the full week! I know a few people that have done it. It is well worth the full week! We enjoy it that much we even stayed for a few days of innovation which is the drum n bass event that runs the week after it!
Details of it i think will be out sometime this month and you can start paying then.

sorry but I'm used to having a 7 state difference between us. Anything less makes me uncomfortable Besides I'll have a friend (more than likely) accompany me already. He used 2 spin freeform and hardcore at local events in places he used to live so he's excited about trying to go
@ anyone else who has gone besides AudioWarfare:
Did you buy the packages offered last year? if so what exactly does that include? I'm guessing they include hotel stay as well. If so, what hotels were they?
