I book hotel and event seperately.
The first time i went booked it all in and it was good as the hotel was literally right next to the club. But loads of people were in hotels which were a proper mission away, and up a really big hill, which is not what you need after a rave! So just incase now i book a hotel right near the club then the wristband seperately. Although staying in an apartment next time so we can cook our own food etc.
The hotels they use are very basic. All have aircon though which is a good thing, and it's half board so you get breakfast and evening meal included, but the food leaves a lot to be desired! ANd you don't get to pick, you just get allocated it, and you find out like the month before you go. Don't book the 4* hotel gold package as you'll be miles away and by all accounts it's not that much nicer.
So for the package you get the hotel, breakfast and evening meal, and entry to the club for 7 nights.
If you're looking at hotels look at them on a map, you wanna be somewhere on or near avinguida just de marles as that's the road colossos is on. The Flamingo is literally over the road from the club and is pretty decent but be careful not to book the frigola which is joined to it but is awful! Blau apartments are nice and just over the road. Hotel Helios is really nice as well which is again just over the road.
If you find a hotel you might be interested in give me a shout as i can find out what they're like for you.

thanks for the info! you know I was looking at the hotel flamingo and reviews have them showing the same thing. They have a ton of bad reviews. I've been looking into booking at Hotel Acapulco they have good reviews and it's not too far from the hotel.

Yeah that's quite nice apparently, or so i've been told. I know someone that runs a bar out there and they feed me information!
The Maria del mar is another one that's quite nice.

It's definitely worth it. I went for the first year in 2007, and the boyfriend and I had the time of our lives. Llorret de Mar's beach is quite scenic, but the rest of the town is a bit on the sketchy side :P Still, at night it's an interesting party playground, and club Colossos is a cool place. If it's anything like 2007, You most definitely will end up meeting a lof of your favorite djs and producers. I took awesome shots with the likes of Whizzkid, Sharkey, Luna-C, Kevin Energy and K Complex.
Kevin Energy and K Complex on the beach (lol)

Much fun to be had at the beach bar, playing Hardcore all week

Scenic beach view

And the main attraction, epic party time

So it's official I purchased my flight today and I'll definitely be out there for this one! Actually, I purchased a flight from Houston to Madrid, but the connecting flight from Madrid to Barcelona and the travel from Barcelona to Lloret is an easy monetary obstacle I'll have that money as well as hotel costs covered by the end of January.
Sadly my friend Moonstruck won't make it out to this one, and another friend might not make it because he has to do inventory at that store, and won't know for sure if it will fall on the weekend of HTID in the sun. Anyone else on here going besides (I think) Audiowarfare & HollowRipper? Looks like I'll be flying solo for this one and hope to meet some of y'all there.

I Went to HTID in the Sun this year (2011) and had an amazing time, the weather was amazing, the city is amazing, the Hotel (Bronze Package) wasn't too shabby (but was about 20 mins walk from the main strip and the club) and the atmosphere was amazing. We didn't get to go on any of the boat parties as they had sold most of the tickets before the event in Spain had started but heard great things from people we met out there who had managed to get a ticket. The most amazing experience was the pool party which included a FREE BAR! I would deff recommend HTID in the Sun to anybody who asked and if the funds permit it in 2012 i'll be going again!

lucky for you that a plane ticket from the UK to Spain isn't 1100 USD! If I lived there I would've had everything paid off by now! Acapulco Hotel is next on my list!

I think HTID In The Sun only exists as a theoretical entity.
