All depends on personal taste really. I have to agree with the post above though about Douglas, all of his tracks I've heard are great considering i'm not a huge freeform fan. As far as regular hardcore goes though, Darwin, Sc@r, Alex Bassjunkie, Defekt and others always putting out good tracks in my opinion.

douglas & a.b for freeform definitely. Love AB as a dj I think he did a great job for his Hardcore Adrenaline 2011 mix.
Definitely Darwin for uk hardcore, and I still say Ham is still on top of producing even though he's not releasing as much material as he used to.

For UK Hardcore: Darwin. Even tho he sounds like everyone else, he still, after so many year, produce many different styles. How many can say that about Hixxy, Styles, Breeze... or anyone else (except Gammer)
I don't know about Freeform to be honest, as I don't like A.B or Douglas at all. Kevin has gone way to hard dance for my liking, so I will have to go with Betwixt & Between, since he sticks to the finrg formula with hard dance/goa/fast trance stuff

For me I'd say Darwin too. Everything he touches literally turns to gold.
Also a big fan of Entity, Sc@r and various others that my bran has woken up enough to remember

Lost Soul for fav producer by far. Douglas is coming leaps and bounds and is always original, but something about Lost Soul's acidy goodness gets me every time ;).

Ponder does have some good breakbeat hardcore tracks out. I am really enjoying breakbeat hardcore these past few weeks as well, you should check out the CLSM podcasts if you want to hear more breakbeat.
