The less into hardcore i am.
I havent listened to it in weeks and the only reason i come on here any more is to see how other people are doing. I havent produced it in months, i havent listened to it in weeks, and when a ranom song comes on in a playlist or something i skip it straight away, being bored to tears in the first few seconds.
There's been nothing since about 2007 that i have been captivated by. There's been some okay tracks, but for the most part it's just boring and average to me now. I've heard nothing and been compelled to buy it.
Probably wont frequent here much any more, as it'd probably be easier just to keep in touch with people off the website.
Anyone who wants to keep in contact, add me on facebook.
http://www.facebook.com/Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee This will most likely be my last thread, and maybe even the last time i come here... Apart from the odd times ill drop in purely because of boredom - but i doubt it'll happen often. Just don't see a reason to any more. Also, someone needs to do the hhc.com awards, because obviously i wont be here. Cheers all! Hope to see some adds on fb.

I almost walked into a hhc rave/club night last weekend with sc@r and possibly mark smith playing. Was just chilling at shark bar with friends waiting for our karaoke booking to start and saw the masif banner set up so I asked who was on. Common sense got the better of me in the end, namely having work at 7am.

I'm surprised i'm not feeling the same way. considering the scene here in the US is non-existent, but for me I guess it's that i'm one of the few who have been following it for over 10yrs and the noobs here move on to something different.

i wouldnt' say its the age, i would rather say it's how it sounds like. To be honest I've been buying more and more older Hardcore instead of listening less to it.,
And this forum has become less Hardcore oriented anyways, so why the need to leave?

I've felt exactly the same a few times over the years but each time i've been drawn back in. At 40 i really should know better but i can't help it! So as long as i'm enjoying it i'll keep going.

I'm the same as Sami. I think my obsession with the genre has actually grown in recent years. That doesn't mean I'm obsessed with everything that's produced. There's a lot of dross. But the stuff I do like, I seriously, seriously like.
I have the very occasional week where I listen to it slightly less, or maybe even not at all - but that's literally a couple of times a year.
I used to think I would grow out of it - but out of my group of mates, the two that are hardcore fans are 30 and 28 - so my "grow out of it eventually" theory doesn't exist anymore. It's all down to the individual, and if the scene is evolving in a way that's acceptable to him/he is receptive to.
Dean - LOL. Explain your avatar!

I think im here primarily because I enjoy production, but friends and people I know in the scene are another reason for my involvement. Its an entire network of friends, and its a shame some people find it so easy to forget that and leave because they don't enjoy the music.

I haven't produced hardcore in months either (unless rave breaks count, I guess they should?), but I'm still here ;O Still some good hardcore being produced (mainly breakbeat), though.
Mainly into house, breaks and dubstep now tho!

Well, I've been following the music since 2001/2002, and I was just talking to Rowan and Mortis about how now, I feel like my interest is becoming less. I dunno, it's just, I don't have anyone to really share the experience of the music with, and the scene in my state is also like Latinxtc said, non-existant. I have only made candy once this year. I don't want to grow out of Hardcore, and I'm still getting HU5 cause I mean, I still like the music, but I just don't get that thrill...maybe it was because the new Hardcore Heaven was such a dud.

I'm 40, and its still the only music I buy and listen to, I think theres still a lot out there but at the moment its not what it used to be a few years ago, because as in everything in life money dictates, at the moment Hardcore isn't popular so there is less and less stuff being released. As some of us older members on here know, dance music goes in cycles, in a few years kids will want something new again and it will be reborn as it always does!

while that may have something to do with the rave scene in the US, it has absolutely nothing to do with hardcore music!

Give it up Latininxtc, as much as you hate it, you know that Happy Hardcore is the choice of music for candy kids. It goes hand-in-hand.
