For me? Rhythmics. Everyone bums him, but I dont rate his music, or his technique of finding girlfriends. Lying backstabbing stingy git, who ive heard nothing but shockingly bad things about.

I'd have to say I don't like Deamau5, he started out somewhat good, but then the fan base just destroyed him. He went mainstream, and he is like the Justin Bieber of w/e genre he is in.
As for Styles, I know his recent music most people consider crap, but I think of him when he was back about 10 years ago at the turn of the Millennium.
As for Guetta, he was never really one that I liked. He went the hip-hop/club route, and people identified him as the next Tiesto.
As for Tiesto, I like his production but not his mixing, I'm sure some will agree with me. It just seems his mixes don't have much skill involved.
Oh, and let's not forget the Black Eyed Peas. Their music is just so monotonous, even more than Daft Punk, though I have had to change the track a few times when Around the World starts playing.

no, he isn't anywhere near as well known as Guetta.
as for the original question its all down to numbers
there more people who know an artist - the more people have an opinion on them, the more likely it is that that there will be haters and lovers.
when that artist breaks into the commericial world that number increases, simple maths :)

simple maths :)
For some reason I'm kind of relieved that you didn't say 'math', even though you probably never would have to begin with. It's just that people seem to keep copying Americanisations which is just shocking. Like virtually everyone (certainly in a proffesional context, like the people selling them) calls trousers 'pants' now, what the **** is that?

pants as trousers has been around for eons - when i first met my wife (back when i was 14) i was baffled at her use of it too, it seems to be a northern thing.
as far as math and maths, it doesn't matter which you say as the english shortened/colloquial is correct in both.
that it is an "Americanism" is just something you need to get over since there's is absolutely nothing wrong with language changing and evolving, especially since so much of our english is taken from other languages anyway.
since i lived there, I've spent more of my adult life in America than I have back here in the UK...but i am a british citizen
so which one i should say? - you do the math
;)

Haha...in a thread concerning influential artists such as Deadmau5 and Skrillex you bring up my name. I'm flattered :)
For the past year and a half you've dedicated a significant amount of time and effort into slagging me on your Twitter, Facebook, public forums, YouTube and whatever other avenues you can find. I find it very ironic that, much like in this thread, every time you slag me you grossly overstate my popularity and influence. Why do you feel so threatened by me? Perhaps you'd be better off investing your time in something else that doesn't involve spreading my name around and undoubtedly getting more people interested in my music? After all the music speaks louder than any statement on the internet...
Here's something from the horse's mouth: I'm no more significant than any other UK Hardcore producer with an online presence. My music sells no more than 40-75 units per release (70% of which goes to TiD) and I'm currently a broke unemployed student looking for a job. If you want to continue spending your free time slagging me online go ahead, but just letting you know you may want to find better people to hate as a hobby!
PS For someone who's preached of "music comes first"; using this thread to talk about my character and personal life as if you have any idea of them is quite low, thanks buddy!

Ive dedicated more time to slagging off Gisbo, you're a distant 2nd.
I have no concern over how much you sell, what your music sounds like or how popular you are. You've given me plenty of reason to dislike you, and if it were public what kind of shit you pull on people dead or alive, a lot of people would have more reason to dislike you.
In the most part music does come first, but I have no interest in music from you. The fact you're a lier, a sneak, and general **** overrules the music you make. That goes for anyone.
Music comes before money in the scene as a reason to produce, thats the context behind that statement - in the sense that people will move on to produce what makes money.
P.S. Niggerz.

What a load of passive aggressive dribble. You feel you have the authority to flap your mouth about things that don't involve you yet you act reserved about all this "shit" I've pulled on people? Why the hesitation there? Out with it. I had nothing to hide a year and a half ago and I still don't.

Not for me to say, you know what Im talking about though. I just contributed my bit to the thread.
...Its hardly passive... Obviously you dont have much of a conscience, because if you have nothing to hide, it suggests you have no shame or guilt.
