how do u mix with cuebase? I've got virtual DJ - its free these days off their site.. also got the virtual DJ remote on my ipod which is brilliant

with difficulty, you can't "mix" like you usually would, its more a case of getting the songs in time once you get them into cubase via the pitch shifter/fine tuner, and then using the volume automation timeline to fade between songs. its not live mixing as such, but it takes alot of effort...and will have to do till I get my decks back
(technically you could do it using musical mode and inputting the tracks tempo, then everything would be perfect - but because it uses timestretching algorhythms the songs start to sound very odd (no matter which algorhythm you set it at - so using the pitch shifter gets it as close to using a turntable pitch as you're going to get)

I thought that using plugins in VDJ, you'd need the professional version? I know, since I musth ave the pro version to use MIDI-controllers

well I downloaded the free home version of virtual DJ off the official website... downloaded the remote off appstore (installous) and just synced them... works a treat.. really good actually... as u don't need to be near the computer to mix... I can be led in bed as everything is on my ipod.... just need the computer on and virtual DJ running...
