Hey, I am just trying to get started DJing hhc music. I am actually new to the whole hhc scene. Just heard my first track a couple months ago. It was Anabolic Frolic, and I fell in love. Anyways, where do you guys get the songs that you mix? Are they on vinyl, or CD? Are they acapella, or do you remove the backgrounds? Please help me out, I would love to start mixing some of this stuff!! Thanks

Most hhc DJs use vinyl, which you can order off the net, or if your lucky enuff 2 live by a shop that sells any, then from there.
One of the biggest online hardcore store is probably imo
( http://www.imodj.com/shop ) and you'll be able to find alot on there. There are more, but thats the only one i can think of at the moment. "Just because I have a head shaped like an amusing pile of mashed potato, doesn't mean I'm not sophisticated"

So, what about re-mixes. I have done a lot of house, and I just got acapella tracks off of vinyl, and put my own music in it. What do you do for happy hardcore, I didn't really see any acapella tracks on the vinyl at the shop you told me about. :(
Anyone have suggestions?

you can also trywww.subsonicunderground.com for vinyl since you are in the USA...I don't think I have ever seen accapella tracks on HHC vinyl releases...isn't there some software available that lets you lift vocals from a track?

Thanks for the record store suggestions everyone. Nateking, yes there are programs that remove vocals, or remove backgrounds, but I have never found one that works very well at all. Does anyone know of a program that will take out the music, and leave the vocals?

I am bringing on a new form of hardcore!! My style is two beat - which is a bit like force and styles with Field of Dreams or that Sincerely Yours (dont know who its by, sorry!) I WANNA KNOW WHO LIKES DA 2 BEAT, OR WHETHER YOU LIKE THE TRANCEY HARDCORE THATS COMING OUT NOW. You know innovate, the tunes by dougal, ... now that is the style for the future of hardcore. ALL WE ARE DOING IS SLOWING TRANCE DOWN, AND WE NEED THOSE SNARES BACK !!! 1996 was the high life oh HHC, so, no matter how long ago that was for you, LETS GO BACK. Wait for those sounds ... and hey, who remembers CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT and THEIR SINGLE <<back down to earth>> (1987).... Wait for da remix in true 170 bpm hardcore style. I AM A RAVER ... TRUE FOR LIFE ... LETS GO /TOGETHER/

It's by Go Mental :) There's also another mix that uses the same acapella by In Effect called 'It's Yours' :)
