Just thought it'd be interesting to mention this track, as the original is the most commercial Hardcore of 2011 probably hated by 99% of you. For me this is plenty times better than the original.

Does what the original should have.

I disagree. This Rythmic's riff is just standard while the original stood out in a much more interesting way. Now I wouldn't mind a version with this as a second riff, but it really isn't that much of an improvement. Isn't this "new" riff so deja vu? As if all Rythmics wanted to show is what You & I would have sounded like in "standard hardcore form" rather than new style edgy glitchy core. Perhaps Technikore would have done something more interesting of it...

...or maybe I just added a riff for the fun of it? The edit was made in an hour. I didn't produce it to make a statement or show DS & Gammer how it's meant to be done. I love the original. I just wanted to hear what it sounded like with a riff. I put it on soundcloud after my friends encouraged me to and Gammer and DS liked it enough to put it out. No deep agenda, just a fan with FL Studio and Nexus at hand.

lol people read too much into things. I like it. It's very Clubland Hardcore style, and I also like the original version as well.

And what's wrong with a tune promising a tasty riff then actually delivering it?

If producers are going to create these glitchy or 'dirty' (stupid description by the way) tunes then that's what they should be, not a hybrid of hardcore with a random sound bolted on just for the sheep. In 9 out of 10 cases, the mixture of styles doesn't work anywhere near as well as one or the other would have.

And before anybody else says 'everybody's doing it', that's only because everybody wants to sound like Gammer or Styles. Just watch what happens when the next fad comes along...

Not a bad idea, and the result sounds great! I only disagree with this thread's title stating "far better", cause I think the original is great as well, and in a more original way (despite glitchy hardcore being everywhere right now). I didn't mean to come off too harsh, it is just a soundcloud sneak peak after all. Keep up the good work!

I added "For me(...)" in text I should have added in the title too, but I often say unnecessary things so I wanted to avoid it.
I've said things about commercial music, changed my aspects to better during the last few months thanks to DJ Revs, and eventhough I feel like raging because of modern Hands Up, I'm still with them. DS produced the original and it's his skillful track so he should be proud of it. You & I is unique indeed, but myself, I just can't stand the original. Besides really disliking mainly the idea and the lead, I might be wrong but for me it sounds explicitly commercial.

I like both mixes. I like the 'new sound' and also the more common 'riff' sound anyway so it's all good to me.

Best of both worlds: mash the hell out of them and create one sexy bastard love child for personal use.
