I went ahead and explored some of these japanese euro/hard cheese labels and artists. I made some interesting findings:

And I would add even BSK, which is a chiptunist and sometimes he made breakcore and speedcore stuff

Regarding XIO, I like the stuff he does, it's deffo a guy to look out.

XIO is currently one of my favourite hardcore producers. I discovered his music when I downloaded this free J-core compilation some time ago, which included his Theme of Luck track.

My favourite (and probably underrated) track from his Soundcloud so far is http://soundcloud.com/xio-3/cittan-justify-xio-remix. Seriously one of the best riffs I've ever heard.
