17 tracks are way to many for an unmixed album, unless most tracks arent longer than ~4:40.

Sorry, but I dont see any value in buying mixed combilations.

Some tracks are, unsurprisingly, longer than others, and the CD is within milliseconds of being full. Hell, we even cut down the gaps between some tracks to make everything fit. It's an artist album so it's not beyond the realms of the established to have some link (or less typical) tracks to keep things interesting.

It's not that the CD is bad, based on the utube clip alot of the tracks are nice. But if I'm allowed to use them on online DJ mixes, I prefer they have some kind of length :P

..... which you can. *Most* of them are full length tracks.

There are a *few* shorter tracks, like "Drivetime" and "I'll be Ready", which were written in that manner.

I don't see the problem.

If you disregard tracks that don't / won't interest DJs immediately (i.e. don't have obviously mixable intros / outros) there are still 13 DJ Friendly tracks in .wav format, with a nice shiny case for 7 including postage. That's pretty good value for money last time I looked! ;)

I wish to complain. Not about the quality, content or length (which is something Samination has always found to be an issue). No, it's the price. The 9 pounds or so at Play etc is cheap as it is, but this is just daft.

7 quid...is not enough!

We can't work out why it's so cheap at HMV, either. Still, hooray!

P.S: Why do things get moved here; it's really not like there's a huge number of albums in hardcore at this point to flood "General Hardcore" is it. The scene is in disarray and the lack of a focal point for discussion (IE reliance on fleeting facebook posts and banter) is a contributing factor. It feels somewhat futile to jump through as many flaming hoops as we have to to push a physical UK Hardcore Cd into vendors and then have all discussion of it/them moved into this subforum. Bah, humbug etc.

imo, and at the risk of repeating myself, it'd help if the two words 'release announcements' were prefixed with Capital Letters....

oh yeh, excellent CD btw!

and as usual you can go **** yourself :)
Just ask thumpa if I pirated any of his album, yet I flamed them like hell?

No, I might buy this if it goes digital, or I will order it when it comes out.

True, I can't exactly hate the album for having shorter tracks, but I generally like mixing long tracks/tracks that has 2 breakdowns.
