OK, so if people suck over the net then why are they good in person? The only difference (as greatly shown in this thread) is that when people are on the net and hiding behind an alias they feel that they can be complete a-ss holes to other people and get away with it. I think it's totally fecked up and people slagging off others just cause they can on the net is a strong reflection of how mean and truely jaded some of the "Happy" HC people are around here. Why is it so hard to be nice to somone on the net? So what if people say something you don't like, you don't have to be a big a-hole about it just cause it's annonymous.
When somone says something in real life that you don't like do you turn to them and say "Hey, your a stupid immature bastage! Now go fück off and get away from me!!!"? No, I bet you don't. And if you do I bet you get your arse kicked on a daily basis. Now why do manners vanish so quickly on the net? There's no reason for it and it's not right. Especially on a "Happy" HC board.
My usual disclaimer applies here: This is all just IMHO, and I'm an idiot. Feel free to correct me or ignore me as you please.
EDIT: Also, why is it OK for a guy to post a bunch of half naked pics on this board and then for every other guy to reply "OMG, she's so hot! I'd totally do her" but it's not OK for some girl to post a "Any hot guys around" message? Double standards abound...
