The best year for releases was............?
And why?
I know that these are usually kicked off with an opinion but genuinely cannot decide yet!

As in, label releases? Or album releases?

Let's just keep it simple and have only album releases :)

Clubland X-Treme Hardcore 3 was also released (not the best in the series, granted), but in 2006 I bought Hardcore Euphoria when it came out in the winter. I then listened to it for the vast majority of 2007. Then at the end of that year, Clubland X-Treme Hardcore 4 came out (my favourite in the series by far.).
That was a golden period for me.

Yeah, I agree with 2007. Loads of great music, I was falling in love with the genre and CXH4 and Bonkers 17 were helping that addiction.

Plus, World's Greatest Hardcore came out in 2007 as well if I remember rightly.
http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Worlds-Greatest-Hardcore/release/936061 Some seriously good stuff on there. Squad-E's remix of Written In The Stars - fudging hell! Cheese heaven!

if you didnt say "album only" I would've said 2005 or 2006 would have had the best releases, as that was the time I made most of my mixes

1995, based on United Dance vol 1 - 4beat at it's best!
Hardcore Terror vol 1 - The Dutch Masters
Radio Dreamscape
and the amazing Moving Shadow v Suburban Base History of Hardcore album came out.
Goldies Timeless album also came in 95. (DnB I know, but this was a time when both genres were still closely linked)

1995. So much choice and so many styles. You had Happy Hardcore, Bouncy Techno, Happy Gabber, Hard Gabber, Even Harder Gabber, Breakbeat, Happy Breakbeat (the piano stuff that wasn't Jungle but not the Happy that was more Dutch inspired) and even some early Trance infulences. Even none Hardcore of the time such as Hard House and even Eurodance was worth a listen. Even pop music was worth a listen!

Definitely 2007 when it comes to albums. You have Bonkers 17, CXH4 (which was massive improvement to the 3rd one), Hardcore Adrenaline 1-3 (although the 3rd one was the weakest, Stu Allan's cd was incredible), and of course Hardcore Underground 2! As jay mentioned hardcore euphoria may have come out late 2006, but I spent a great deal of time listening to it during 2007.

Last 10 years, I'd say 2006. Not really that familiar with early 90s album releases.

After some thought, I have to agree with 1997.

I really don't know how you all remember/know what the dates of all these albums where. :P I haven't got a clue. 01-03 was a golden time for me as was around 96-97.

No effort for me. Apart from when it comes to 00's releases. Then it gets harder because there is a lot more.
