Well, this is hardcore at its bottomless abyss. Whatever he did was like getting a vox out of a remix pack easily downloadable from any production forum or acapellas4you.com download the midi, open his DAW and drop his project template (e.g. WinningStyles.cpr since he uses Cubase), change the notes here and there, then boom! A remix is made.
I can't stand how so many people are actually making remixes of the same tracks over again, caning the same vox time and again. Yes, satellite is a classic on its own, it's been years people have been making tons of remixes of it. Seems like an American Idol contest also, and isn't Styles too late to drop this one at this point of time? :)
Sorry, rant over.
You do know that it's Styles singing himself, right? It's his own tune, so you can't possibly have heard remixes for years. :p Agree about the rest though.
Ugh, I wasn't aware of that, it's brought the disgust level to 30. If he had used a good female vocalist, fair enough as it's not that bad. But singing Satellite himself? I think he should pitch the formants of his voice through the autotune on Ableton Live before singing.

I love the track, and what energy it brings to the dancefloor! It certainly sounds way better live, but I still love hearing it on my phone during my commute. Personally I think it's better than You And I. Just has more energy than you and I.
Really surprised that more people have not taken a liking to the track. This has a lot of the energy and uplifting sounds reminiscent to late 90s happy hardcore, just updated to the current trend of hardcore of course. And lets get over this whole male vocal thing and the lack of quality in it. Sure a better vocalist would have been better, but I don't believe it would've added or taken away much more from this track. It's not a deep meaningful track that needs a better vocalist, like he should have done with the atrocious Feel Love. And there are many shitty female vocals out there since the beginning of happy hardcore, you just notice it less because you can fix most of that in the studios now.
There really is no pleasing people these days.

Yeah, I guess I need to hear it live before I really make a definitive decision on it. I don't really go to events where it's likely to be played though, that's the problem.
I've just listened to it a couple of times on YouTube quickly. Mah. I dunno. Just doesn't give me as much euphoria as the other tunes we've been talking about.
It doesn't really bother me that I don't like it. I still really, really like Darren Styles and probably always will, irrespective of his reputation.

It's not the satellite you're thinking of... He also definitely uses melodyne, but he's pretty good at it.
