There's a remix competition for Zedd ft. Foxes - Clarity.
Winner gets $500 and signed.

Anyways.. Kors K did an absolutely unbelievable remix of it, if you haven't heard it check it out.
It was at number one for a while, too!

Just checked again today to see a major disappointment, though..

This is winning. It's generic dubstep. :(

It's pretty good, definitely better than the second one.

I wouldn't enter any remix competition that was voted on by users though. Mostly because I know that I'd be able to fix it with an auto-voter (and potentially others could do the same) while everyone else had a little popularity contest. It would be bent as fuck. Anyway, I'm not saying I would do that (in fact, I wouldn't) but the fact that I could implies other people could too.

I felt pretty much the same way when I heard the generic electrocore winner of the Acid Porn Monkey remix contest (can't remember who even did it now).

JAKAZiD's remix is the best by a mile.

I think the judges take the top 10 and choose who wins from those, so there's a slight chance :D of course, they won't pick it, because they just want someting that they know will sell better i.e Dubstep, Electro House etc....

Yeah this. When you think about it, the prize was pretty lame. $500 and 1 year of Soundcloud pro were the only things that were concrete. Even if you win, there's no guaruntee that they would release your track, you only got THE POSSIBILITY of a release.

Also, my favorite remix was Dil (Tanuki)'s by far but honestly I'm sick to death of that vocal by now, and that's really saying something knowing some of my preferences.
